NCGA eclub upgrade in Bay Area?

Given the lack of accessible private clubs around here, I've been doing the NCGA SF Bay Area eclub for the past year, but would much prefer some sorta deal at a place that's open to the public with a good value on a yearly membership (with kickbacks like a free round or two, discounted rounds, etc).

Anywhere between Napa and Carmel (and west of 680 )is good for me presuming the deal is a free round or nice discount on a handful of rounds. Looking in the $300-400 (or less) a year range for the membership that includes a year of NCGA.

But then for NCGA you'll also need to join the Callippe golf club: MembershipI'm not saying it's a better deal than that Poppy deal, because it isn't. But I am fond of Callippe, it is a little closer, and I have a longtime friend who has been very satisfied there and re-ups every year.

I just got the mid year membership at Callippe. At $165 it’s a no brainer deal. I have 4 other buddies who got the same deal and we live about 40 min away. But we like that course and the value is very good. But again, this doesn’t get you NCGA card. If I needed that I would do the Poppy Hills deal in a heartbeat!

Thanks for the input folks. Since a good chunk of my golfing is played in Monterey I decided to go with Poppy.
