I'm actually glad the lofts are stronger on the 921F. Not because I need stronger lofts, but I could go 1 weak and pick up a little more bounce.

 

I'm a little surprised at the stated bounce numbers, but at least it does look like the soles have a fair amount of camber and the leading edge also looks quite blunt. So, maybe they don't play as much like a true low bounce iron? If you look at the THP preview write-up on these, the first pic shows all 4 heads lined up. Although the hosels aren't vertical, that shot does make the soles look very playable to me.

 

Looking forward to the proper reviews on these starting Monday!

Anything that site does usually isn't good. Any reviews they do are caca. The worst writers on the inter webs and shouldn't even be mentioned on WRX.

And the 919F (32) were a degree weaker than the 900F (31)....which were a degree stronger than the 850F (32)...they've been bouncing around between a 31 and 32 degree 7i for years now.

 

My point is that the 5 degree gaps, starting around the 8i, have been around since the 825 Pro and there's a simple solution if you don't like that gap.

I’ve read that they’re reducing the weight on the toe for the tour model for more work ability and also I thought I read something where they are no longer using whatever the forging 1025 it’s now something else I’m not sure exactly what I forget where I saw what it was but I thought they were saying it’s no longer 1025 boron or whatever. And I believe they’ve even done thinner face on like the hot metal

6-P HM w/Recoil ESX 460 for me - filling out the bottom with CBX2 wedges....  unless they Forged kill it in the upcoming reviews (TXG & others..)

5-gap in HM for me, I’m waiting to see what the new optimizer has for shaft recommendations, cause right now it’s only for 919’s. Leaning towards neo 950’s shafts. CBX2 wedges yes, I have them too, I’ve owned almost every wedge out there and they are hard to beat.

I’ve heard great things about the Neo’s.  I’ve had clubs with the 950GH and could game the Neo’s easily.  If they’re a lot cheaper than graphite it’s still an option for me.

I am thinking 4-6 in HMP and 7-G in Forged just need to see if my current $-taper lite shafts are still good or the PX LZ 5.5's are the way to go

Don't have the speed for the 4i. Based on the long vid with Chris Voshall, I'm thinking 5-PW in the 921F - while the head of the forged is slightly smaller, the Chromoly body, wider/larger sweetspot and thinner face should add forgiveness and more ballspeed, also higher launching and 1 degree stronger. I may order a 5-6 in HMP later for my not so sweet days. I will use a MP T20 48 for my GW.

 

The new ES21 wedge is interesting in the higher lofts.

 

Just saw pics of the new JPX 921 Hybrid - very clean and they got rid of the drop down crown.

I was gonna say that’s why I decided on the Neo’s because it’s a stock offering in the hot metal

I haven't seen a list for the 921s specifically, but my guess is it would be similar to the current offerings.
