Hmm hope that’s right.  My fitter talked to the rep and said they were 1 week out after receiving tons of 921 heads in.   Hope he is right, but doubtful. I ordered this past week 921FORGED 4-PW

Wow one week out. That would be amazing. Looks like we have a similar order. Let me know if you hear any of updates. Im 921forged 4-PW as well. Gonna call first thing 11/1.

Mizuno is quoting 3 weeks on their instagram page. I ordered custom 921forged on 10/15 and i'm dieing to get a round or two in before the weather turns crappy.

Fitter told me to call in early November to check on status. I plan on calling the minute they open 11/1.

I  chatted with them yesterday to check my order status and was told they’re currently averaging one month from order to build.

I ordered on Sept 24th and I was told they'd likely arrive next week, which would make it ~4.5-5 weeks. I'm located in Canada, not sure if that makes a diff.

My set of 921F 7-GW (will add 6i if 7 goes well) with Steelfiber i110 was delivered today after 5 weeks (Australia).

They look much nicer in person than I remember them or how they look in photos (they look kind of bulbous near the toe in photos but not IRL).They also smell kinda nice, like a new club smell. Sorry, that's about as good as my review will get for the next 4-6 months...I tore the labrum in my left hip the day after my fitting

Got mine today.  They look bigger in person than they did in the store.  Trying them out Saturday but haven't sold my CF19s yet lol

Got mine earlier this week too but still waiting for the Forged GW as I ordered it separately.  I have to say, coming from MP32's the HMP heads were smaller than expected.  Loving the modus 120's and the combo feels surprisingly soft off the face.

Ordered: 10/2

Shipped: 10/23, will be here Monday 10/27

+.5" KBS C Taper Light Stiff - new decade mcc midsize

Can't wait to post a review of them next week ... my MP-59's were some of my favorites I've owned and currently have my R7 TP's in the bag. I have a tweaked rhomboid at the moment so hoping it's better Monday lol.

So received my 921 HMP/Forged set about 2 weeks ago now and have played 9 holes and 18 hole rounds... I know it's probably honeymoon phase, but broke 80 for the first time on Tuesday with these irons as the star. 39/39 and I cannot wait to get them out again. They feel spectacular and are incredibly playable. The HMP 4i actually feels damn good, too, and has become a weapon for me.

Kudos to Mizuno. I owned the 919F set briefly and was not a fan. These blow them out of the water.

Follow up post.  I bought 921F off the rack near release day and had them rebuilt to my specs to avoid the wait (and some less then awesome results with Mizuno custom orders previously).

These clubs are just great.  Coming from the P790s I don’t get quite the nuclear distance or the unparalleled forgiveness- but I get PLENTY of both.      And they feel great.

Very happy with this route over the P770 route I had been looking at.

Was the 4i the only HMP club, or did you split the set somewhere else?

Still haven’t received mine but kinda thinking I still should have done HMP in the 4i. And Forged in the rest.  Went all Forged.

I am always more worried about the bookends of the club set, so for those of you who have the 921F, tell me more about that 4i and PW. How good is that PW? How does it look? Offset still minimal? Feel with the 1025E still nice and soft?

then the 4i.  How does that chromoly feel off that thing.

Sidebar, anyone notice any feel difference in their chromoly 7i and their 1025E 8i?

The Forged 4i is awesome. I get plenty of height off the fairway and carry it 200 consistently. I get a smidge more off the tee. The PW and GW are awesome. Nice tidy proportions with minimal offset. The sole is slender without being too thin or too thick for my shallow swing. They feel great! I chip with them, I pitch with them and I bump and run wit them. I loved the Tours. They are as close as I have found to my old MP32’s feel. Despite LOVING the Tour, I went Forged and I have zero regrets.

The honeymoon with my T-20 wedges is officially over.

Going back to Vokeys but not sure whether to go 54-58 or 56-60.

I have the tour GW, ideally want to maintain some nice gapping for the occasional full shot with my first wedge.

Anyone else got the 921 Tour GW? What did you do..?

The JPX921 4iron is no joke   Even with the 2* weak in loft to fit my set make up it flies.

Anyone have a comparison between the 921 Tours and Z785s? I know lofts aren't apples to apples, but just wondering how forgiveness is between the two.

Thanks

I have played both.  I would give the edge to the Z785 in forgiveness.  Feel is similar.

I'd consider 54-60 if you have hard and fast greens.

I'm still enjoying the T20s after 6 months. I have a 48, 54 in M Grind (bent to 53) and a 58 in C Grind powered by the Nippon Pro Modus 3 Wedge 115 (122g). I find them versatile and easy out of tight lies and hard ground. I played a SM7 (Vokey Hand Grind Raw and then my instructor cut off more trailing edge for added relief) in 56 and 60 in D Grind previously. i may get an ES21 in 60 normal sole to what what it's about...

25 days would satisfy me, I was told no matter what model or company is ordered, 6 weeks, I’ve heard been 700 sets ordered over last month or so!

Well aware of who said it.  Just stupid to eliminate a special order to please people outside the .00003% of golfers.

I'm guessing the real answer is that they just haven't been selling many of them, and it was a money loser for the tooling and inventory costs and they weren't being requested much on tour.

I'm sure that, assuming they sold some number of 3 irons more than zero, they know that it could be a deal breaker for some, and the tour answer sounds better than saying that they lose money on them.
