6 weeks. Ugh. I just ordered the HMP 4 iron so I guess I’ll be waiting little longer than I expected. Did you stick with the std loft or weaken it a little to match with the rest of the set.

I got the standard loft. It is strong loft like 19' but knowing my swing on the course (LM is different matter!), that will keep the ball flight lower and piercing.

It's my short par4 tee off and punching out of tree lines club.

I’d post to the adjustment sheet from my 919 tours that would make your skin crawl.  Even if they’re brand new, do yourself a favor and have them double checked by a competent club builder.   I walked in to pick my clubs up and my guy asked if I pieced the set together one by one off eBay the specs were so far off.  Do your due diligence, no one to blame but yourself if you don’t.

I had the same issue with a set of JPX 900 Forged.  Had them checked and the lie angles were all over the place up and down and they were supposed to be standard L/L/L.  No where near standard specs!

I noticed mine after the first range session when I didn’t have a single iron that looked correct at address from a lie standpoint.  That’s was my first red flag and was confirmed by the shop that I had them adjusted at.   I’ve played a degree flat for almost 20 years and apparently my eye is pretty tuned to that visual at address.

Reviving this thread a bit, I just got fit into 921 forged this past week. Been playing Titleist t200 for a few rounds and thought I loved them... until I hit and compared them to 921F.  Feel was amazing and the thickness just gave me confidence. Thought hard between HMP for extra forgiveness, but overall more bulbous it looked like in 5 iron and shorter irons. Almost went 921 HMP, but have been an AP2 player forever so just found the forged to be the right thickness, as the HMP kinda had a different bulkier shape but a nice top line. I was consistently 5 yds longer than T200 with same launch, spin, decent... just flat out more ball speed. My only concern is that I didn’t get along with a set of MP20 HMB’s due to the sole digging for me, will the JPX be a little better. I have always heard Titleist has the best turf interaction but haven’t strayed much to find out before. Previously played P790 and just found them too wide, otherwise no issue hitting stock shots. Hoping the 921F are slightly more forgiving in the turf than MP20, which I’m told have an “mp” grind. Any thought appreciated.

The more I look at the 921s and the 919s I can't help but to think it's time to move on from the Nike VR Pro Combos. I won't be getting rid of them but I think I need a bit more forgiveness while still keeping the forged feel. Has anyone made the jump from a Nike PC line into the JPX forged? What do you think?

For the HM Pro users. How is the distance consistency w these irons??  I hit them really well on the simulator. Very forgiving.

Coming from the CF-19 Apex i saw about 1/2 club longer in terms of distance. Like you these are very easy to hit and pack a lot of forgiveness into the profile. I have HMP’s in the 5-7 and they gap like this

5i - 175-185

6i - 165-175

7i - 150-165

I really like the look of the 921 Tours. Im currently playing the 20 MMCs. You see alot of the 921 Tours in pros bags yet hardly any MMC. I wonder why that is?

My guess is the MMC has more offset and offers a bit more distance. Both things most Tour pros don’t necessarily want or need.

I got my 921 tours about 2 weeks ago now. I've played about 3 rounds of 9 with them. I live in western NY so very cold so playing is sporadic. I love them so far. Will give more details once I get some more rounds with them. The center hits are great and the misses you can tell where you miss. I dont feel intimidated by them even in the long irons. Excited to play more and on different courses.

Planned on going with a full set of the forged.  I don’t get as many rounds in as I used to so I thought I could use some help all the way through the bag.  Fitter pulled out the tour.  I hit one out of curiosity.  I was shocked at how easy it was to hit.  Glad I tried them as I was getting the odd jumper off the forged.  Some were more than a club longer than stock.  Every good strike with the tour was my exact stock number.  No surprises.  Ended up going 4-6 forged, 7–p tour.

8 handicap here and my set make up is:

5 and 6 irons - hot metal

7 thru pw - hot metal pro

gap wedge - forged

I was on the fence about the longer irons, but was talked into going with the 5/6 hot metals just for more forgiveness.  I'm kind of iffy about the two hot metal clubs.  They are noticeably bigger at address and you can see the back of the club.  I also feel that I am not hitting them as far as I should (based on how I hit my 7 iron).  That being said, I've hit some really thin shots with these clubs and was shocked at how forgiving they were.

I still haven't played enough rounds with the set, but these are just some initial observations.

I'm loving the rest of the set.

Forged gap wedge is the money. Made a lot of tap ins with this year so far.

I bought the 921 forged when they came out.  I really like them and am impressed with how soft the 7-5 are.  After playing with them for a longer time I cannot say that they are an upgrade over the 900 forged but I was fitted to them and I really like shafts I have now.  921's are very good in almost every category.  The 900 forged are just as good as you can get.

The JPX forged line is and has always been solid.  You can't go wrong with picking up a set of any of them.

Anyone have a side by side pic of the HMP vs the Forged?  Mainly The 9-PW. I have some 921 HMP on the way, but found a great deal online and jumped on them without even seeing them.  Love Forged clubs, but not playing nearly as much as I used to and thought I could benefit from the extra forgiveness.

Biggest concern is the size...visually I cannot get over a large club, especially the 8-9-PW. Mentally I think I am hitting a shovel. Was hoping the HMPs were more compact that the regular HMs I’ve seen.

HMPs are much more compact than the HM. The short irons look very similar at address to the forged line.

Put the 921 Forged in the bag for this year with the Pro Modus Tour 120 and they are amazing.  Coming from the 900 Forged the 921s seem to have a softer feel and the less offset is definitely more appealing to my eye.441A3FB4-CC20-4A31-9D0C-AC8E9AB2AFE7.jpeg.69fff7fb946a26a79280b9159c3f3f2c.jpeg

Got fit into the forged a week ago. Hit a bunch of other irons from the different oems but nothing felt as good or performed as well. Ended up going 4-GW. Now it’s just the long wait that is going to drive me crazy.

I just got back from a fitting and was really surprised by the results. I hover between a 14-16 handicap, and I am obviously pretty inconsistent, but the 921 tours were the best club I hit. They felt like butter and were forgiving enough on miss hits. I ended up going 5-pw in the tours. I'm going to also get rid of my 4 iron and 5 wood and replace those distances with a 4 and 5 G425 hybrid. I expected to probably end up in hot metals or another GI iron.
