Yes, he should take a break from tweeters.   I can see how he was thinking the way he did, that there’s only a few elite players, that he was the best. Pump up his ego. And it worked.   But imagine

Brooks, there is a nice guy, thinks because he’s got a couple of PGAs it make him a great, what a complete ass hole, only person that likes Brooks is his caddy and Claude, oh and less we forget Brooks

Great golf and competition builds rivalries... not this millennial click bait stuff. And for a guy not making excuses, he was quick to have a physical therapist following him to stretch him on the gro

It’s interesting that some of the folks saying they don’t mind how BK talked up his chances of winning, but they conveniently leave out the part where he disrespected his fellow golfers...

Thing about Brooks is he should just enjoy his time as a top golfer in the world and not worry too much. He's a bit boring honestly. Guys like DJ, Rory, Spieth and all have highlight reels of amazing shots in clutch situations. Even Morikawa's win here is more exciting than anything Koepka has done based on how he did it with the chip in and then the drive on 16.

Brooks was just machine-like for his 4 major wins. Played awesome and nobody else could hang for the week.

I didn't have a problem with BK's comments nor Rory's defence of DJ.
Don't know about the relationship between BK and DJ but my initial read of it was a mix of banter/trash talk/mind games to (who we all assume) is a close friend. At worst, he was trying to get into the leader's head before the final around.
Rory felt he needed to say something and more power to him for it.
Unfortunately for BK, he played bad on the last day and well, he's got egg on his face. I'm sure the 4 majors and $31m (according to Google) in career earnings will help him sleep at night.
It also made it interesting for golf. We can't whine about the lack of drama and when the drama comes, whine about the drama.
