What's the tech? Does the extra thickness at the top create more forgiveness out of the rough when you slide under the ball and catch it high in the face so you get a more normalized distance? I'd be all over some wedges like that. Really curious about these!

Removed weight from the low heel and placed it in the high toe. This does two things. The head is perfectly balanced right in the middle of the head. So the sweet spot is centralized and it moves weight up high to lower launch in produces enhanced spin.. ES..

While a bit chunky, these are in no way meant to be a "high handicap" wedge. The story is all about CG location and spin and launch control.. This wedges is breaking convention in many many ways.

Can you grind them? Or will they create toxic dust like BeCu wedges?

Looking at the pics above, the 58.08 is shown in both the Standard and Wide sole options. Does that mean that every loft/bounce combo shown below will be offered in both sole grinds?

I am very intrigued by these. Looks like Cleveland is doing something similar with their Zip Core.

Going to have to hit these for myself. The effects of moving the CG to the center of the face all seem great, but I'll need to see it for myself to see if it really makes that big of a difference considering the MSRP on these wedges is going to be $200/club. That's a steep price to pay for marginal improvements so the tech had really better make a big difference if these are going to be successful. Probably already an uphill battle based on looks, but then tacking on the extra $$$ is going to turn a lot of people away.

Agree with that. I hadn't bought new equipment in a long while as I stopped golfing right around the time I was due for an upgrade. Got back into it this last 9 months or so and was kind of shocked to see prices had gone up so dramatically. Back when I last bought equipment in '09-10 a new driver was $350 on the high end and last years model could be had for $200-250. New GI irons were $600 and players options topped out around $1k. Drivers have gone up 50% and so have irons and everything else. The rise in equipment costs has dwarfed inflation and one day in the not too distant future it is going to catch up to these companies. If you throw out the anomaly that is COVID, golf's popularity is on the decline and they certainly aren't going to attract new people to the game when it costs $3k for a beginner to buy a complete bag.

I didn’t see a 58.08 wide and standard pic. I think the pic is a 58.08 W beside a 56.10.

Love the look from address with the black and grey, same as my current mp-t5s, only with a slightly bigger profile. Interested to see some testing when these get in the hands of the TXG boys.

Just read about them on mai golf Thai... very interested. $200 price point gave me some sticker shock, though.
if my golf budget ever recovers, I’ll probably consider a wide sand wedge and a regular lob wedge of these... should be a solid 1-2 punch around the greens.

$200 for a stock wedge is rather absurd. mizuno has as much credibility as anyone in the oem market but jeez this is getting out of hand.
