How is it different than any other wedge that's moved weight out/up to the toe or manipulated weight to move CG?

They way that they did it. It is a hollow, multi piece wedge.  But, it is not meant to be nor will it play as something that is a higher handicap or distance wedge.

Didn’t get to play but got to hit some short pitches and chips. I can’t say that I can feel a huge difference nor could I see one. I did seem to be more consistent with the ES. The grind seemed to fit me better.  I have a track man session tomorrow night so we will see which has better numbers. Here’s some comparison pics. FYI the ES definitely has a higher toe, room for one more scoring line. I’m really liking the Lamkin grip though

Glad to hear there is not much difference in feel.  I have been a bit concerned that there would be a hollow feel.  Is that the wide or standard sole?  Keep your impressions coming.  Cheers

To be blunt Im not even positive. It seemed narrower than the other 58 they had in stock. I will say it did feel a touch harder if you hit it a few grooves low. Not enough to make ad difference for me

Trackman today and unfortunately the wedge part of the session didnt save. I will say it seemed to launch a touch lower even though its 1 degree more loft. My 56 is bent to 57. Still need to hit some full shots on the course to make a final decision.

They look amazing but that sole is FATTTTT, come on man, how am I supposed to nip those dead tight lies, with a 2 degree bounce wedge?!?!?! Beautiful club though and I understand people need the help. Mizuno always does well.

Never really understood this argument.  The only way a wedge doesn't work off tight lies is if the leading edge is completely rounded/blunted or the sole of the wedge is high off the ground when the wedge is squared up to the target line.  Doesn't matter how far back the sole goes if the leading edge stays close to the ground.  And with '2 degrees of bounce', it shouldn't be a problem.

I'd have to show you in person, but you are right the general idea of mine was just a joke!

Still waiting on mine to be shipped.  TXG reviewed them - they seem uncharacteristically disinterested.  Refer to the es21 as a 10-20 hcap wedge comparable to the CBX2 wedge.

I liked it but nothing about it stood out. The Zipcore's are much more impressive. That said, I grabbed a couple of Glide Forged on the cheap and am kicking myself for not going with them sooner. They are so good.

Similar, I would call them the same. I really enjoyed the feel of the es21 and the shape is great to my eye.

For anybody looking at this wedges.

RUN AWAY..... lol.... I don't like to talk bad about clubs but seriously, these wedges suck.

I bought the JPX 921 HMP 5-GW, decided to go with a sand and lob ES21..... they are the worse clubs I have every bought. I can give benefit of the doubt and be, maybe the clubs aren't for me. Maybe if I just keep trying to like them. I really wanted to go all Mizuno. Waited the 7 weeks for everything and I tried my best to use them, it's not the look. I really don't mind the big back size. I used to use Cleveland Smart Soles back in the day..haha... they are definitely not worth $200.... I apologize to the suckers on ebay that bought these off me.

You didn't mention what you don't like about them other than "they suck"?

I have been gaming a 55 and 60* and I absolutely love them.  No big revolution of bringing flight down, but they are consistent, forgiving, and don't feel any different than a non-hollow wedge.  The looks are not orthodox enough for some, but I am not relating to any performance complaint.  Mine are securely planted in my bag.  Hopefully that sucker on ebay is as happy with them as I am.

I had high expectations due to price and the claim about the center of gravity being in the exact middle. If you're going to come in at $200 a wedge and make claims of better spin because of how it's made, I expect a lot. It was an average wedge, nothing special, I had a 54 and 59. I guess the 7 week wait, had me expecting a lot more...lol....

These wedges sure are polarizing. Chris Voshall admitted as such on TXG.

I did a wedge fitting last Friday night on a 2 handicapper and while he was leaning towards either SM8's or Zipcores, I threw this into the mix and had him hit shots (indoors on the GC Quad) he left scratching his head as his first comments were predictably "it's chunky" but you don't see that at address.  Well after about 20 shots he generated almost 7% more spin over the Zipcore and about 9% over the Vokey and really liked the feel. He didn't pull the trigger that night but did come back on Monday and left with a 60

Holding on to a glimmer of hope that they bring the blue or silver to the US, before ordering 54 & 60 to try out.
