Ping pioneered the Newport / NP2 , why are their versions the worst now , really Blow Word not allowed.   Hate to say it but Cameron’s version of the NP / dale head retail , IMOP is miles better than the ping.  The old man would be pissed.

Couldn’t agree more. All I want is an affordable 009, something around $200. Ping could do it with an Anser with flat shoulders and rounded bumpers but the last couple years are ugly.

The rounded bumpers in all fairness to both parties , my understanding possibly take some hand work , but would imagine the flat shoulders shouldn’t be an issue.  
 

Again the cameron special select NP is really good aesthetically and rolls it great.   Not quite a 009

If Ping brought the whole PLD program to the public I would be besides myself. That all black Kushin with the plumbers neck looks nice, I have never really liked the regular one without a neck.

That center shaft Tyne looking putter needs to come to retail! (and in left handed too). There aren't a ton of center shaft lefty putters to pick from (which is actually probably a good thing for me) but I would be happy to go to an all PING bag.

I am a Ping guy and IMO the Sigma 2 putter line looks cheap and trashy and dont get me started on the Heppler colors.

 

I agree that Ping needs to commit to more center-shafted models, larger heads for sure.

 

And what is up with that slant neck on the Tyne ?

Honestly it's a bit of a head scratcher why Ping won't do even a semi custom ordered PLD release through like PingWRX. You won't see the putters at Golf Galaxy, but you can contact your Ping Rep and order a few different heads with different hosels, face grooves, weights etc. They have the branding/reputation with putters, scale, and tech to put it all together...there must be some good reason why they don't.

I've always had a soft spot for Ping stuff because they make everything for us lefties but they haven't made a really great feeling putter since the Redwoods.
