The best source for Korean golf is unquestionably Sports Daum:

Golf on Sports Daum

You won't miss anything if you follow it closely.

The Seoul Sisters forum is also a good source.

Judging by the odds and how she played in the Scottish Open, you might be seeing her frown more ?

yep...not a good start -  +5 so far but this course is tough for everyone.

I had forgotten until I looked back...but she didn't win on a links course, so maybe not suited to her game

The biggest surprises today were Celine Boutier and Brooke Henderson.

Brooke is clearly rusty and Celine is like back into the future, back to days before 2019.

Otherwise Lydia and Nelly are in good shape; Danielle and Minjee aren't leading but in striking distance.

Nuria Iturrioz leads all rookies at even par.

Danielle had a VERY interesting card, to say the least. She was +9 after 15....then went Eagle, Birdie, Birdie to finish at +5.

Charley's tee shot on the 18th was a thing of beauty. That ball must have rolled a good 70 yds. Lol.

Amy Olson seems to play well at European Majors always.

In 2018 Evian, she led by 2 shots into final round, but shot a final round +3 and lost to Angela Stanford who shot a final round -3.

Maybe playing in the South Dakota wind is helping Amy.

If I recall correctly, don't the announcers frequently mention Celine having a low ball flight?

Maybe we're facing a 2017 Erin Hills situation where a number of top players miss the cut.

Jin Young Kim? FFS. Is it asking to much to get a name correct for the #1 player in the world?

Otherwise I thought the coverage was excellent. Little fluff and a whole lot of golf shots. Yeah.

The course was tough but fair. Luckily the weather remained constant throughout the day, so both waves got similar conditions. It looks like tomorrow will be similar, which is great.

Plenty of golf left to play, but if Amy puts together another solid round tomorrow the players below par had better get it in gear.

I think it was playing in the North Dakota winds that helped Amy.  ?. She talked about how she learned to play with a low ball flight and had to learn how to play a higher ball for most of the tour courses.

Course details:  Course Guide

Has to score early before Postage Stamp #8.

"The opening six holes at the Old Course take the players along the sea and are often played with the support of the prevailing wind. In typical links fashion, players turn northwards for a long and difficult finish back into the sea breeze, running parallel to the opening stretch."

On 8/18/2020 at 3:53 PM, 18majors said:

The wind yesterday was completely opposite to the prevailing wind. Front 9 (minus postage stamp) all played into mostly and back 9 (besides 12th) played downwind. (That’s why the scoring is bad front 9 compared to back 9)

It was pretty Brutal yesterday on the front!

we were last group out and just about finished, was pretty dark and a heavy shower down 17/18 made it so hard to see

So Lindsey Weaver and some others are using their own trolleys - no caddy. Not sure of the reasons behind this. Anyway, it's impossible to bring in a caddy for the w/e unless they're already in the bubble.

My question is that after the cut there should be some caddies available who are already in the bubble. Can these then be shared out to other golfers?

I don't see why not. Caddies have been swapped out mid-round in many cases.

Grabbed my morning cup of coffee, and took a quick look at the leaderboard. Hmmm, is there a mistake? Where's Amy Olson? Scroll, scroll scroll. 'Currently T34 after shooting +8 in 11 holes. Ouch. This game is cruel.

Marina is also having a rough day at +6 in 14 holes. Otherwise the scoring looks rather flat. Lots of even par and +1 rounds, so it appears the players have figured out how to avoid the big numbers.

Hope Kang makes the cut.  By far my favorite player to watch.  American and she plays the game like one of the guys.  ( Spin , trajectory , club choices etc )

I don’t believe so. We all have our own bubbles between player and caddie so we still wear masks in the indoor communal areas (hotel lobby, clubhouse) so for this reason I believe not.
I seem to remember reading it wasn’t allowed as it would still be a risk and if a caddie picked it up and partnered with a player outside of their bubble and ended up testing positive then the player would have to withdraw too

Lydia is continuing her good form, she has a great shot at this.  Minjee and Nelly are also in prime position to pick up a Major, poor Amy that's a tough one.  I'd be worried about Inbee though, she's gonna let the youngsters stress out with lead for the next day and a half then pass the by on the back 9, Sunday.

Minjee Lee, along with Sei Young Kim, is entitled to the title of "Best Player without a Major".

Finally, Minjee is in prime position to annihilate that title once and for all.

Sorry, Sei Young, it's yours for you to enjoy!

I've been rooting for Minjee AND SYK to win majors since I started watching LPGA but have been disappointed so far...  it seems they either are not lucky enough to get the breaks or i just can't explain it (Minjee and SYK miss crucial putts even if Minjee is not a poor putter like a Matsuyama, SYK made a crucial "lucky"? putt to end the season last year so i can't figure out why these 2 have been hard luck on majors ).     Since all my "bets" are gone or not playing, I'm rooting for Minjee to win this over the weekend...  (I don't even know how I can catch up on the ROY contest either LOL) ?
