Most expensive putter you've ever gamed?

Stupid expensive putters of $3K+ are out of my realm of possibility, but if you treat them right and aren't stupid with them yourself, they shouldn't lose much value, in reality.  Just hard to have THAT much money tied up in one piece of metal that is worth at most 100$ outright. Also, the worry factor about theft.

I don't think I have ever spent more than $500 on a putter, but many in the $400+ range have been Byrons, Lajosi's, and a couple Camerons.  My best rounds have come with an $80 Odyssey Protype 2 and a $130 Spider Tour.  I am done with expensive putters.  They are cool to look at but that's about it.  ANY other putter for fractions of the price could do the job just as well or better.

Lajosi makes some seriously nice putters. I've wanted one for awhile, but I think I lack imagination to have something custom made. I just like seeing something I like. I could never design a house, they'd present fifty kitchen benches and I'd just pick the first one to be done with it.

I am similar... but the cool thing is that he has his "originals".  Every month or two he kicks out some putters he has made.  Can be very hit and miss but for a minute he was really pumping out some nice blades, mallets may require a more custom angle, but they show up as well.

I tried a Lajosi for a while but unfortunately it just didn't work for me and I sold it to a young lad on the NMSU golf team a few years back.

I was given one of those a few months ago by a neighbor who's husband passed away.  it was sitting in the garage, no headcover, definitely been used.  It's at the Cameron custom shop right now being refinished.  it's coming up on 90 days there in a week or so.  I'm hoping it will start moving soon.  Can't wait to get it back.  Not sure I'll use it but always wanted a custom Scotty.

Lots of pretty putters in this thread.  I'm embarrassed, I think I paid about a hundred at most.   No custom work, nothing.  Hanging head in shame.  Would like to see that putter of Dan's when it's done.

I bought a LH 009 Carbon Prototype that was beat up for 2500. Gamed it once. Had it restored, then sold it. My current, NP Classic i paid 600 for but it was brand new still in plastic. An insane find.

Hey if you got a deal even better but if I was to buy a putter and GSS was x times more I'd just take carbon or 303. Hell sometimes I can buy a carbon and a 303 putter for less than 1 GSS putter. I'd rather do that.
