From what I can tell the only to order to the US is to go through a golf shop in Japan. Anyone have any recommendations? Looks like One2One and a couple others may place the order. Looking at a set of TB Zero blades.

I had a great experience with One2One, highly recommend them.

There are two, maybe three shops I know of in Kyoto that have Miura accounts. A fellow at one of them told me where Miura does a lot of their plating - a company in Osaka. https://golf.alfamek.net/lineup/

The copper layer has long been used, as many of you know, most famously with the TN87. I have a few sets of Maruman's where there is clearly copper (you can see in the beat up ol SW) It sort of struck me that, that's probably where the name Conductor came from.

The set I used most right now - The Tourstage MR-23 also have the copper under layer. They are incredible feeling irons.

Probably temporary. Japan shutting down travel with new COVID strand surfacing there now.

I don't think it's temporary. Sounds like MG got some complaints from distributors in the US and shut it down.

If you monitor japan auctions often, there have been about 5 sets of AMAZING craftsman world irons that have went dirt cheap compared to retail. A few tb zero sets which I’m sure were ordered by players who choose looks over performance, because they were practically brand new. Anyone asking about proxies, there are multiple Japan Proxy services out there with a simple look on google. It will take some coordination and communication, but not too hard at all.A37FFC50-2850-4E91-9854-2CBADEB7C5B7.png.06848f2cc0067a4caa3111cc0ad887f1.png

That's interesting. Time to time I've peered in and looked but have not come across any sets.

Reviving this thread to further the discussion…because I have questions…or can’t use the search function properly…probably both. I’m also having a hard time distinguishing the differences by looking at some the MCW pictures (and can’t read Japanese). I have a feeling most of the readers/posters in the US won’t have the opportunity to see an MCW iron in person so maybe finding what MCW options most resemble a USDM Miura would be helpful?

How does the round face differ from the standard? Is it more round from the topline into the toe? Or is the toe itself more round? From reading some other threads it looks like the USDM MB-101 has a shape closer to the Type-S with a more defined “point” or sharp transition from the topline into the toe.

How does the Type-R differ from the round face? The pics show the sole almost looking flatter than the A0-A2 options.

If you look very closely, the standard option is more upright in the toe portion compared to the exaggerated round look on the A1 option. You have to really look at them back and forth for a bit haha. I was going to go for them smaller face option but I think that will extend production time by a lot… will update once my order goes through but here are the specs I’m choosing. PS- this is just a spec list from one2one who no longer sells to US, I’m just using their site to get this spec list.

I chose a few standard options which I might change. Will also likely change from the turquoise. Hopefully I can get this done. NOT going to be cheap lmao
