WITB without clubs?

Recommended Posts

Years ago when whatever magazine started WITB they also showed what the tour player carried in addition to clubs.

They showed the coins used to mark, scorecard cover, whatever. I found that very interesting, in many cases more interesting than the actual clubs.

So, here's what I have in my bag that I don't swing:

My old Waterfield zippered pouch still looks new. Inside are a few of my biz cards and a small collection of coins, each from 1961. Guess who was born in 1961? The only marker is from my brother's club. How do you turn down a marker from your host? Up top is the really cool stuff. Those are two 15 year old pure carbon fiber divot tools. They are amazingly light and have worn very little over the last decade and a half. They're hard to keep track of though because they are SO light. They go through the washer & dryer just fine. Bummer was the guy who made them lost his access to the raw material...never heard why. I wish I had more of them. CF is the perfect material for a divot tool.

So, what's in your bag that you don't hit the ball with?

Cheers.

Paul

Last year at this time I had old receipts, wrappers, and junk. Since I've started playing very often I'm down to essentials only. I don't have the presentation factor of yours but all I've got is:

a bag of junk ( I think it started as the bag for tees now it's tokens, markers, putter weights, etc. I even see a spike from shoes I don't even have any more)

6 bucks (because you never know)

a glove that I have never used.

Hooked to the bag (not pictured) I have a brush and towel.

There is a method to the madness. The long tees are driver, the plastic is for hybrid, everything else (including whatever is lying around the teebox) is for irons. And I've even resurrected tees that are pushed in flush with the dirt. Pop them up just enough to get a good lie and put a 6i down the middle! booyow!

i need a pouch like that. I'm working with a zip lock snack baggy for my markers, which includes an Icelandic 100 Krona coin.

those are some really cool coins/markers.

It's actually a wallet but the whole zipper deal didn't really work for me. It's perfect for my golf bag, though, and the company that make it is very cool.

Love the coins. I used to use some Canadian coins but unfortunately have lost them over the years. I am using whiskey bags (Crown Royal, Blantons, Jefferson, etc)  for my organization. Always fun to see what others do.
