I believe Denver will be starting Kendall Hinton at QB.  He's' a local kid who went to Southern HS in Durham, NC.  Highly recruited he went to Wake Forest and started his first few seasons but then switched to WR.  Expect a lot of RPO's and not much passing.

Wow! This week is by far the most affected week from the COVID that we have seen yet! Denver has no QB, the Steelers and Ravens are being pushed back to Tuesday, no Thursday Dallas game.  San Francisco is getting locked out of their home field which will affect their next two home games at least. Not to mention all of the players who now might not play Sunday! 

Where does one make an accurate pick this week??? 

 

There are some interesting games still.  You have the Kyler and Cam matchup in the Pats Nation. Cam has actually played well and Kyler is coming east with a banged up shoulder. The weakest link in this game is the uncharacteristically horrific Patriots defense. Cam from what I have seen has actually exceeded expectations given the lack of weapons they have on offense. N'Keal Harry their number one draft pick at WR has been a bust. They have no prolific pass catcher.  James White and Edelman(IR) are on their last legs. The Patriots were always credited with their ability to draft players but I do not know about that. Lately their draft picks are not all that great. I am going to take a tepid leap into the "Belichick take out their best weapon" strategy, playing at home, will have his defense bracket "Nuke" and spy on Murray who won't be so eager to run the ball with that shoulder. He will need to rely on the ability to move around in the pocket and hit the underneath stuff to Drake, Chase Edmonds and Fitzmagic, occasionally going deep to Kirk. But again, the Patriots defense is a bit underwhelming they are drive extenders, which you can't afford against all the playmakers the Redbirds have on offense.  Cam will try and play ball control as the Pats rotate rb's and have Cam make some plays with his legs. This week I am labeling the changing of the guard week. Kyler the scrambling little guy with youth on his side, going up against the older freak of nature who could run like a big tight end with jets. The other game is the two Goats game and I will get to that later. This game is a hard one to figure out. But I like the idea of betting trends, and the trend of Cardinals traveling east in the cool air of Foxboro playing a Belichick team who will take out their best weapon which they have done in the past when he played for the Texans. I am taking the PATS + 2.5.  Not sure how Murray's injury will hold up if he takes a hit. That is a factor which causes me to take some action on this pick. Will the Cardinals defense after traveling east be able to play in a non conference game and keep up intensity? Methinks not.

 

After looking through the Covid web of venus fly traps I see Minnesota is going to be without Thielen that's pretty big for them. I am happy to take the Panthers with Bridgewater coming back Carolina +4.5. I wish I had Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson in fantasy.

 

Finally I take us back to 1994 when we had two of the biggest QB's rivalries in our history, Steve Young now the starting Qb of the forty niners who took over for a worn in Joe Montana and subsequently asked to be traded to the Chiefs and DiBartolo obliged. We had their first showdown and you had the old Goat coming out victorious over the young heir to the Niner dynasty throne. Montana never won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs but did take them deep into the playoffs before retiring. Mr Young had much success in San Francisco. It was Derrick Thomas of the Chiefs that actually helped win that game, but I use this as a precursor to the matchup between the Chiefs and potentially the youngest GOAT in the making to the current reigning GOAT Tom Brady and the swashbuckling Buccaneers..I say the old man Brady will not want to be shown the door by the young spry running Mahomes and it will be whichever defense decides to be the most impactful. That would be the Chiefs defense in my humble opinion.  Taking the Chiefs -3

First I am so surprised that you were the ONLY one to switch Sunday morning a pick to the Saints. Man it was so obvious that points would be so hard to come by for Denver.

Second that switch kept you from going without a correct pick this weekend. Perhaps Sheryl Crow was on point with a change would do you good NCL.   🙂
