As we hurtle into the new year I am ebullient about the prospects of travel, fun, and eating out.  The idea of FIVE picks has me even more ebullient about my prospects to get above .500 for the year and perhaps do wondrous things.  Oftentimes we monetize our hopes and dreams, if we didn't Vegas wouldn't exist.  I liken my five picks to five possibilities, one could say I have a fistful of dollars.  So, in homage to a fist full of dollars, "The heart Ramon... aim for the heart or you'll never stop me."

 

"That was no miracle,, just an accident and the world's full of 'em."  Sometimes success and failure are pinned on the wrong person.  For example, the success of Patriots was heaped upon the hoodie, but now that TB12 is gone, we are really beginning to see this was a mistake.  Though, I think we all know, there is no such thing as a great coach with crap players.  Is the Jets win streak an accident, or is it a miracle?  Its hard to say, but I am taking the Jets and the 5 points.

 

"Anyone gets hit, sing out.  Slap iron to it."  When Derrick Henry hits someone, a guy better slap some iron to it to stop the bleeding.  He is a beast.  I am always amazed the pundits always talk about "pad level" and that stuff, then you see DH and Eric Dickerson and it looks like they have a hockey stick in the posterior orifice.  Well, JJ, get ready because your team is playing like dogs so you'd better get ready to slap some iron on it.  Give me the Titans and I will give the 7.5 points.

 

"I have a feeling its gonna be a good, long battle."  I don't, GB in Chicago only favored by 4.  Not sure we throw out the record books in this clash of the North.  GB and I will give the 4 points.

 

"When a naked man is chasing a woman with a butcher's knife and a hard on.  I figure he isn't collecting for Red Cross."  This one goes out the WFT and in particular, Dwayne Haskins.  I realize he is no longer on the team, but Dan Snyder must be proud that unlike him who plugs in cameras in the shower, Dwayne just goes for it and hires the professionals.  There is an old statement, "Why do it right when I can do it myself?"  Dwayne does it right, and well Dan, your team is in a shambles and clearly you are doing it yourself.  I will take the Jalen Hurts led Eagles to win outright.

 

"There's plain few problems cant be solved with a little sweat and hard work."  The Brownies are favored by 7 and I bet BB plays the first half and the Steelers cover, if in the interim they give BB, TJ and Cam the day off then I think Cleveland covers.  So I am thinking the former and bet the Steelers cover.  At half time when Mason Rudolph comes in, I can hear the fans now screaming to the tops of the Allegheny mountains for BB, "I love you Preacher Man!"

 

2020 is in the rearview mirror.  What's a guy do for his wife of over 20 years on their anniversary?  Take her to the Sip N Dip, of course.  At some point rated the #1 bar by Playboy magazine.  Pat wasn't in, but the two other people in the bar in the middle of the afternoon (due to Covid we didn't go in when it might be crowded) were terribly festive.  "And so it goes..." Hopefully 2021 brings you all great successes and happiness.

I called the MOD just now at the Sip and Dip and asked if she knew of a guy that went by the name P3P? The nice gal said why sure I know him, he's one of our regulars. A generous tipping regular at that P3P is she added. I told her that comes as no surprise because P3P used to be in the business. Then she exclaimed wait, he's here right now. Shall I get him on the phone she asked.? I replied naw, let him be. The manager then said how about I take a quick pic of him and send it your way commish. I accepted.

I'm taking Buffalo in the cold against Miami - plus the #2 seed.

Green Bay is just too good on both sides of the ball; Chicago has won against bad teams.  GB dominates.

I am a homer...but I also don't think AZ loses to the Rams with Wofford at QB...although AZ has a tendency to lose to 3rd string QBS.  5 points is till too many....AZ covers and should win.

I beg to differ sir. The snow and ice is so 4 days ago news.  See I got in 18 today and it was sunny and 59 degrees with zero wind. Muppet? Hah I'm a winter golf warrior who enjoyed one of those warmer than average winter days for golf.  Pure!

It ( today's track) ain't no stinking TPC or such, but it is still glorious golf at the end of December. I smiled hard for 4 hours.

Besides snow here and there on a track adds seasonal flavor. You sunshine state folk have no idea how to hit a snow shot I bet.     😉

 

Seriously cheerful commish is getting to play back to back days.  Now that's a great Christmas present from the Golf Gods.
