Let's take a look at the line changes in Vegas on these games. I posted our numbers early Tuesday morning.

Currently we have 

 

Saturday 

 

Buffalo-  still a steady 6 1/2 point favorite and the total has dropped a 1/2 point since my posting of 52.

( see Puttinfor8 knew it (6.5) right away and came immediately to the aid of commish! ) 

 

Seattle - 4 1/2 is what we have. The Vegas line currently is Seattle - 3 1/2. A full point drop showing more play on the Rams.

                The total of 42 1/2 hasn't changed. 

 

Tampa - Same and unchanged with Tampa -8 1/2 . The total has dropped a 1/2 and is currently at 45 even.

 

 

Sunday 

 

Baltimore- is 50/50 in Vegas with half the Sports books having the Ravens - 3 1/2 (our number) and the other half of the sports books 

                   dropping it to an even 3.  The highest total this weekend on the board at 55 in this contest, has not changed. 

 

New Orleans - I set our line at Saints -9 1/2 on Tuesday and it has increased to currently New Orleans -10. The total has dropped one point                             to 47.

 

Pittsburgh - We have the most line movement out of all 6 games here with this game. We have Pittsburgh - 4 1/2 from my Tuesday line. It is

                     currently Steelers -6 . The total is this one has jumped up from 46 1/2 to 47 1/2 . 

 

 

Steelers are currently the most popular public bet in the six games so far this week.

Spreads tend to move when sharps come in early and lay the cash down. Sportsbooks also like to set them for the teasers which in a playoff format can really do damage to a sportsbook. Some places reduce the max bets down to 500 on a teaser. I like to look at the opening lines and watch the movement in the first few days and then at the very end. Covid has also moved lines here and there.
