Adams pro black MBs... still gaming them?

Recommended Posts

Just curious.... I was going through my old club heads in the shop other day to decide what to get rid of. Found my old Adams MB pro blacks 4-pw. Honestly had forgotten about these. Didnt really play them long at all. Anyone still gaming them? Always thought they were solid clubs. I know the MB2 irons have a cult following. Cheers!

The pro black MB irons were great. The were surpassed by the MB2 irons though. Especially the raws. I am search for a good condition set at a decent price for a while.

Still playing them, as the short irons in a combo set with CB1 mid irons, and CB3 long irons.  All great club heads.

I have CMBs and XTD Forged too.  I may as well splurge on a set of MB2s.  I know I will own some eventually.

Adams irons are so so good. Have a set of Idea Pro Forged (with the TT Black Gold shafts) and have had the CMBs three times now. The Pro Forged are a touch bigger in the long irons but feel just as good. Really low COG makes them a breeze to launch. The CMB is spectacular, as good as any players iron ever. It goes where you’re lookin. Still makes a highly relevant combo set.

Adams had some of the best traditional looking forged irons until TM bought them.  I have a set of PVD Pro Golds and PVD MB2's.  They were both awesome.  This year I joined a new club for me and due to gapping issues I replaced my beloved Cally UT with my old trusty Adams tour issue peanut hybrid with Matrix Altus hybrid shaft.  Just an awesome combo and so easy to hit.
