People have been saying this about clubs from the beginning of time.  Either they were delusional then or they are delusional now.  Or they always have been and always will be...

Maybe I just really like the TS2 3 wood and it performs great for me ? looking forward to trying the new driver, they ALWAYS perform at least a little better and worth the upgrade

I know I may get pounced on here but am I the only one who thinks that Titleist fairway woods appear to be closed :  I know that tons of great tour presence and likewise here From our members but for me ( maybe my eye ) I just see hook when I look down:  despite that I still keep buying and trying them.   I usually purchase the 16.5 head loft down ; flatten and still disappoint myself .  Feel like I Should use my old high school break up line “ it’s not you , it’s me”

Wish I knew someone at titleist. I know people up and down this industry but don’t have any Titleist love. TS3 was a SOLID driver. Took a lot to get me between that and my M6. TS3 was the reason I used Evenflow White (and continue to do so) on my M6. I’m a fan. I’m a huge fan. I’m looking forward to seeing what they have to offer.
But I’ll never buy ProV1s haha

Totally feel the same way. I hit mine great but it definitely looks closed to my eye and sits funky at times.

We should be seeing the tour-seeding pretty soon if the fittings and pre-sale start the end of September.  I would also guess the week of Safeway and/or the U.S. Open given the time frame.

Having played the 917 and the TS2 I couldn't agree more.  I like the closed look, gives me a lot of confidence when I'm working the ball right to left.

Totally agree, this is so strange. I’ve been looking in different threads multiple times every day and no one seems to know anything. Amazing.

So exited about this release as you can be.

TS2 16.5 is a solid 3/4 wood, but it is so closed at address I can’t look at it. I can’t imagine anyone on tour could play with a club that closed. Can the tour trucks bend them open?

I can see what you guys are saying about them sitting closed.  Currently playing the ts3 3wood set at c1 and it looks perfectly square to my eyes.  I absolutely love it at the moment.  The ts line has been so solid!  Really looking forward to what’s next.

I’m excited for the new Titleist line because I know if I buy a set they will be current for the 2021 and 2022 season. With Taylormade and Callaway you just never get that confidence...

Why does having the "current" model matter?  Do you buy a new car every year?

I know what you mean, lately I've been feeling the same. Latest titleist driver/3w will be in my bag when they come out for sure. Especially now that they keep up with the 'distance' guys now.

Great... I just bought a TS2 3 wood, probably could’ve gotten a better deal on it if I waited a few more weeks

I think the Titleist stuff has already been discounted for some time. They do not typically discount twice..

It’s not about having the latest model. It’s about investing in clubs that aren’t going to be outdated in 6 months by “new technology”.

But my point is this isn't unique to golf.  New products are coming out all of the time across all industries with promises of bigger, better, faster, etc.

With golf equipment, you have the opportunity to get fit and find something that optimizes your game so that you aren't chasing fractional increases year after year

You have a very valid point. But, hear this perspective.

I think a lot of us follow these forums because we get excited and interested in new things, which there is nothing wrong with.

Aside from liking shiny new things I think this game lends itself to giving off the impression that there is just one little small thing away that will dramatically change our games performance. Maybe it’s a swing thought, confidence, a small mechanical change, grip switch or even a new club.

Whether that perceived notion is real or not I think a lot of people on here are in that boat. Me included.

Oh interesting, if only the driver heads weren't so light. May look at picking up a TS3 fairway though.

I don't see the closed face issue with mine, my 917 looks quite open though I have it lofted down, and my driver is wide open. I would probably still want to see the club in person before buying to be sure though.
