For those of you that have hit Tsi drivers.....besides the obvious;  better look and feel, are you seeing any true gains over previous iteration TS2/3?

I gained an average of 9 yards and reduced spin by about 500 RPM. I was in a 9.5 TS3 set to 10.25 and was fit into a 9 TSI3 set to 9.75.

I hit the TSi3 driver and 3wood again today with my current shaft set up. Picked up 2-3 mph in ball speed, and actually the consistency of the feel of the strike felt unreal (if that makes sense). I noticed that with my TS3, I really knew when I missed. The TSi3 (both driver and fairway) had a very consistent feel throughout the face. It was very nice for my confidence, felt I could just rip away at it.

I hit the TSi3 driver today and was really impressed by the ball speed retention specifically high in the face. Launch and spin were great as well. Next step is taking my gamer Mavrik in to go head to head on this.

Callaway Mavrik 9* - Rogue 125 70TX
Callaway Mavrik SZ 15* - Riptide 70 6.5
Cobra King 3 Utility - Kuro Kage 100X

Wilson FG Tour V6 - X100
Glide 3.0 46, 51, 56, 60 - X100
Scotty Cameron Newport 3

Curious to hear your results.  I took my current TS3 to a fitting earlier in the year and the only club that was consistently longer was the Mav. Sub Zero.  Only problem I had was keeping it on the planet.  TSi3 was longer than TS3 for me, even when I slowed down.  Hopefully Titleist has pulled even or slightly ahead, distance wise,  with the new titanium in the face.

I had a MAVRIK Sub Zero in play this year as well for a couple months, when I hit it well, it was by far the longest of my drivers.  But the slightest bit less than perfect swing--which is often for me, left totally average results.  It didn't go off the planet, as I don't hit it fast enough to do that, but week little push fades were a common result.

May have been exaggerating with off the planet!  I think Titleist is on to something here.  Even if just on looks and sound alone.

I can say as much as I love Callaway equipment, seems their drivers, not FW clubs, give me that same result, like face too hot or as I say it, a slick surface feel lol. Now only Callaway driver I used to like was XR16 and old first big Bertha drivers.

Has anyone compare TSI3 to TS4?  Game a TS4 8.5

I scheduled a fitting at CC last week to compare these. Background on me a bit.. played TS3 8.5 last year and the weight in the back broke in half so that one half of the weight just ended up rattling around in the head. Quickly found TS4 on BST at 10.5 and bought that to use. My swing has changed quite a bit over the last year, but that TS4+ADBB gave me my best results over the last few years. I never had it on monitor anywhere, just played it.

I have a relatively smooth transition for a faster swing (110-115) and prefer shafts that have a softer/smoother feel in the handle. I was pretty draw heavy all year and have been starting to get a bit more neutral lately to prevent the lefts. Onto the fitting..

Started with my driver and got a handful of good and heel strikes. Flight was generally neutral, 12.8 launch, 160 ball speed, 112 club speed. A few bad strikes brought the average down as I was just getting warmed up, but best strikes were around 270 carry. He mentioned the trackman was set to sea level so we'd see shorter distances than usual. Just from lasering bunkers and whatnot on the course, I'd say I generally sit around 270-280 carry during a round given a good strike.

I tried a bunch of different, stouter shafts at 45.5" (current setup is 45") in TSi3 at 10 degrees while he was trying to bring down spin some. It came down to ACCRA (assuming it was FX) and Ventus Blue based on results and feel. FX felt like it was a little more work in transition for me and VB was giving the slightly better results. Spin and heel strikes were still apparent with the longer shaft in TSi3. I don't want to comment too much on sound/feel as I'm not too used to hitting balls indoors, but I'd say it was noticeably more muted than my setup.

Fitter switched me into 44.5" shaft in VB and predictably the strike moved backed towards the middle of the face and results were even better. I asked for 45" but he mentioned they only got 45.5" and 44.5" from manufactures which I didn't quite understand. Final results were.. 12.3 launch, 163 ball speed, 112 club speed, with about 500 rpm less spin (estimated). Average carry was 269 with best strikes going 275-280 carry. Could I attribute some increase in ball speed to better strikes overall? Sure, but ball speed on best strikes with TS4 were my average with TSi3.

The main thing that blew me away was how neutral the flight was across the board for the TSi3. Ball speeds were more consistent across the face and I hit anything from a five yard draw to just a slight push. Left to right dispersion was incredibly consistent and that was my last set after quite a few swings. I did try quite a few other heads (mavrik, sim, g410) with sim giving me the only comparable results but it was definitely way more harsh for me on mishits.

Nice, congratulations! When did you order it? I ordered mine on 10/15 with overnight shipping and still waiting. Hoping to get at least a couple of rounds in with it before it gets too cold here in NY. Not gonna be able to see the distance gains if I’m playing in 40* weather, lol

Got a question for you guys and I can’t believe I never really asked if it was good or bad lol, but what do you consider acceptable Apex when you hit your driver when I play in the Pro-Am with the senior players they stress 100 and above maybe not too much higher than 130 for maximum distance and I got a feel when I was being fitted when I hit it 90 to 100 I don’t know if they wanted me to get that up a little higher or lower it seem like they thought I was hitting the ball way too high? They probably said something about I wasn’t listening LOL

100 is considered a good number for amatuers with mortal swing speeds.  But you also have to consider your decent angle.  100 feet descending above 40 degrees is likely not going to give you the distance 80 feet and descending in the low 30’s.   If the higher apex is due to high spin its going to drop out of the sky.

I'm happy to see you were getting lower spin with the TSI3.  I know we're talking different shafts and different strikes, but I still find that impressive.
