I did a Titleist fitting today for the TSi drivers.  I've been a long time Titleist driver guy, going back to the 975J - the 905R was my all-time favorite.  I've been playing a 915 D2 (12*) for the pa

fairway wood similar shape and seems to go into the turf and able to hit down on it a little more. Easier to get off the turf and little gains in ball speed as well.

good line up of shafts as well.

I actually went up 1/2* from the 8.5 to 9.0 to try and keep the spin up a touch. With the weight further back it launches a touch higher so they went down 1/2* in loft from TS which also helps with ball speed. Spin wise I’d say they are pretty close to the same

so in the end you had the same loft, same spin, same launch and more ball speed?

Weight further back means higher MOI which also means more forgiveness as well.

Great post and pics!  Thanks for this. Appreciate the analysis of the driver and why they changed their lofts, which now makes sense to me. I am going after the TSi3 driver, but may wait on the fairway for now until I see it in person.

With fittings about a month away, and deliveries 7-8 weeks out I will be very curious to see the evolution of the narrative.  Ball speeds appear to be up based on early feedback, tour free agents are switching to it, tour staff players switched to it during US Open week of all weeks ... All great signs.  The feedback above that the sound is more muted as though it has hot melt (Think SIM feel/sound) will win some people over.  I do wonder if the face will feel dead and unresponsive, similar to the SIM, and it will turn some folks off.

@ForTourUseOnlycan you please elaborate on the weight?  You said it was pretty slick.  Does that mean it is not like the G410 where it has fixed positions, but rather uses a spring to be set anywhere along the track?  It is expected that Titleist is going to heavier weights in this lineup, and Ping is going 26g weights in the rear on the G425.  Do you remember how heavy the rear weight was in the heads you saw?

Thanks

If the spin is the same as your TS3, I wonder if I'll need to go 8* or 9* from my 915D3. Looks like I might have to get a 9* and set it to D1 -0.75*.

Yup pretty much. Gain of about 7 yards in the air and dispersion was tighter. Can’t ask for much more.

Are you looking at the TSi2 or 3 driver as I am over the 425? I had my 410 out Tuesday, hit well, but took M5 out today and just got a so much better distance and accuracy. The tsi2 had me interested and going try a tour design iz shaft.

Funny story. I went to my local Golf Galaxy and an employee literally had the Titleist script tattooed on his forearm. I asked him when they would have the new TSi line to test and he had no clue that a new driver was coming out.

Are you sure it said Titleist and not "Titties" like some bro hats have?
