That and I believe Olympia is trying to make their case to be back on the semi-regular, or even Major, rotation again. They're looking to impress and show they're worthy, so they're setting up for tough conditions.

They had the Head Groundskeeper for Olympia Fields on KMOT Wednesday and he said they're trying to get the course to USO conditions.  Seems as though they're having some success with that.

I don't know if its that.  I think he cares and is trying.  But maybe we underestimate his work ethic when Tiger 1.0 was dominant.  There's a tendency to think he was so talented all he had to do was maintain a pulse to crush his competition.  But nobody outworked him off the course.  He spent hours and hours practicing that paid dividends but that he can't do anymore because the body won't tolerate it.  He's trying to figure out how to stay competitive when he not only can't commit the preparation like he used to, he can't keep up the preparation with his younger rivals.  I think its frustrating for him.  I was one who was thinking he'd just be a horses for courses guy from here on out (and really he's been that forever) and would target for certain courses.  But I just think from here on out we'll still see flashes of brilliance when the stars align but am starting to question more and more if we'll ever see another sustained run of elevated play.  But I'll just enjoy it when it happens.
