Not sure that I follow, the insert already sit flush to the face. I’m not seeing the bottom frame from the pocket, only contrast between black and copper.

That’s because of the loft not because the insert is sitting proud (which would be illegal anyway) 

Once the copper has developed some patina that will disappear. If you look at a tei3 or buttonback it’s exactly the same.

The quality of Christians putters is amazing to be honest. 
Check my buttonback, you can quite easily see the insert, which is created by the loft

I know it's the loft I just questioned the putter because the photo looked off, Christian confirmed in this thread but his response was deleted that it was just a camera angle and that the insert does indeed sit flush.

Anyone have any new Nordberg pictures or experience to share? I love the look of his putters and I'm considering pulling the trigger on one.

Yeah, he was very quick to get back with me on Instagram the other day. Which can't be said about most of the boutique putter guys. I was mainly just looking for reviews on different models so I could hurry up and make up my mind on which version I want. I don't know if I want to go with a CU version or one with no copper insert. I bought a Scotty T22 when they came out and wasn't crazy about the feel of the terryllium insert. His CU's sure do look cool though. I'm leaning toward no insert however.

I've got a raw Halvdan model from him and have the Hakon CU coming next week. Can't wait to try the CU out.

Thinking about grabbing one of his copper insert putters, probably the best priced for a copper insert on the market. Looking at the Harald or Halvdan with a flow neck, will see what run he does next. 

 

But I'd get a smooth face, that deep mill CU is probably like mush to me.

That is some deep milling. I would love to try that out and see what it feels like. After using a lot of putters made out of different materials, I’m convinced the combination of the milling and the putter shape make more difference with sound/feel than the material. No matter what, @Ausrus7copper insert with that deep, curved gravity mesh milling looks so friggin’ cool. Booyakasha.

It does look cool for sure but my last 2 putters have deep milling and I want some click to my next putter or two, still not heading to a sound slot but a smooth copper or fly mill should still feel nice.

My Halvdan with copper insert and hand softened bumpers/flange edge with light battleworn finish.

 

His quality of work is great! You also couldn't for a better person either.

Can't go wrong with Christian. I've got 2 of his models (Halvdan and Hakon) and absolutely love them. Not to mention he's always on IG and responds quickly.  Gonna pick up a Halvdan CU with interchangeable sole weights when he decides to make some.

Just got mine in...it's honestly pretty incredible.  Took a little while extra to get to me, but think a large portion of that was shipping.  I think my total wait was about 8 weeks, maybe slightly less.

 

The quality of work is awesome...definitely as good as any others I have (Lamb, Cody James, Olson, Toulon) and the finish work may even be better.  The feel of the putter is very good.  The deep milled copper gives it a nice deep, soft, solid thud.  It's unusual, but I really like it.  I can't say enough good things about the putter.   If you're on the fence, definitely give Nordberg a shot.

No maintenance required. Stainless head, finish will wear slowly on sole, but that will just add more character in my honest opinion.

It's shipping just now via FedEx but based on a recent experience with importing a PLD Ping into the UK, I am pretty sure it will take a further week to clear customs...

 

Forged stainless steel with deep milling.  Blasted to matte finish, torched, and brushed with darkener for patina finish. 350g.  My choice of stamping, shaft and grip.  Here is the torched stage, which I was tempted to say "stop!" at and just keep like that:

Is anyone willing to share price information on his putters? They look fantastic, but I don't know if they cost $300 or $800 for a relatively standard configuration.
