Titleist 905 series

Anyone still Rocking a Titleist 905 series driver. I am looing at a  905R.  I just cant get into the new drivers.  I have tried them all had just can't get comfortable  with the shapes and makeups. I really dig traditional pear shapes or deep faced drivers,.

Yep.  You can't go wrong with a 905R.

I have a real soft spot for my old 905T. 8.5 degrees of low spin fun. I still hit it every so often - I can't for the life of me remember what shaft is in there now - it might be an Aldila DVS 60X but it probably isn't.

 

The 905T is probably not the longest driver I've had, but it is definitely up there and it was the driver of my golfing halcyon days, so I don't think I'll ever part with it.

I still play my 905R. Not as long as newer drivers but for me it's plenty long and I can work the ball with it. Also have the 905S which is a great deep face, low spin driver.

I very nearly bought a 905r yesterday and may go back and get it. Such a lovely shape and sound.

Putting my 905R in the bag this afternoon to play.  I also have a 905T that's used sometimes.  Haven't found anything completely superior.

Drove the ball well except for two holes.  Had other problems around the course.  Played the 905T with Graphite Design Y-E6+ Shaft.  15 years old and as good as anything today when hit in and around the center. You could probably get one inexpensively nowadays and if you can get one with a proper shaft, it’s a great club.  These are bore through and would be a difficult to reshaft.

The 905R will forever be up there when it comes to favourite drivers for me. It just seemed to work. Titleist did some great work with that thing.

I just pulled the old 905r out of the bag this season, swapped it for the TS2.

 

No real reason, other than I wanted to try something newer. TS2 is more forgiving, but not much longer...

 

I'll keep the 905r around though, its a great club...

Loved my low spin bomber 905S. I think the 917 look is pretty good for a modern club, the TS series lacked it which turned my off from making the switch. Interested to see what their new line looks like.

Still have the 905 R, S & T and like the S the best. Feels great, runs out like crazy, just not as long and forgiving as my Cleveland 588 but I doubt I'll get rid of them. Going price on any of them should be around $20
