Callaway MD5 Wedge

Glad to know it wasn't just me. It has me thinking that I may go back to callaway wedges. Maybe a 52S and a 58W or 52S/56W/60C or LBW. Or even 52W/56S/60C. I just felt like the W was really good off a tight lie and would also prevent digging if I got a little steep. I tend to chip a lot with my 52 now as it is. The Vokey D grind is more versitale though.

Yeah I'm older and slower than you but my 54* is going same distance of 90 in the air but I'm great with that! Very good spin and consistency

The MD5 absolutely has a raw finish 56° X grind option. I have one in my bag. Check out the Callaway pre-owned site, as that's where I grabbed mine. Their "Very Good" conditioned wedges are basically brand new. 

 

I also just got a raw MD5 60° in the T grind. That one is super easy to hit.

I'm playing graphite shaft in my wedge, so it is longer in length. I use graphite to eliminate shanks, works for me.

I just ordered a MD5 chrome in 56-10 s grind. I played MD4 50-54-58 for a year now and love them. But as I approach 50, I feel I need more help at the top of my bag and can cover both wedges with the 56. Very excited to get this in, even though winter is really here now in PA☹️

I ordered a 54* S Grind and a 58* X Grind (for bunker usage) yesterday to go with the Apex/Apex Pro combo irons. The wedges seemed to have outstanding feel in the hitting bay. Can't wait for them to all get here.

Had a wet bunker shot near the lip. Opened it open and cut it right on the green. This wedge is really working out for me. I also hit some decent approach shots with it. I have never used a wedge as much as I do this one, lots of trust.

Absolutely love the MD5. Checks off every box from look, feel, spin, versatility. Have a couple in Chrome 48s & 52s plus a couple Raw 56x & 60x
