You're right, it is already possible.

 

There certainly aren't many posts in this thread that mention whether they're talking about a PHONE or a DESKTOP so some of these "questions" are difficult to answer.

 

A phone has much less real estate to display things so that's problematic in itself.

 

But if you're talking about a desktop have you tried typing anything (preferably something you want to search for ) in the search bar in the upper right ? If so, see the menu choices ?

 

As for sorted results, the default appears to be "Relevancy". How they determine relevancy is anybody's guess BUT there's a "Sort by" in the upper right hand corner of the results. Clicking on it reveals "Date". That is from most recent to oldest. I haven't seen any way to go oldest to latest - maybe someone else can state it if they've seen it.

I wish the forums could remember what page I want to go to. There's a couple URLs that are saved in my Chrome browser that take me right to a specific thread.. It's supposed to go to Page X, but it always defaults back to the start. A minor annoyance, but that's all I can think of!

The URLs in your browser's HISTORY will not resolve to exactly the same place on the NEW board. They are likely "old" links.

 

If you haven't updated any browser bookmarks they likely won't work properly either. You'll need to re-do them.

On the prior board the title took you to the first unread post if it was bolded. If not I believe it took you to the OP (not sure, may have been the last). You could (also ?) get to the last post by clicking on the date/time of the last post.

 

NOW the title is consistent; always takes you to the first post. Date/time always takes you to the LAST post. Bolded star/button always take you to where you to the first unread post. Easy peasy.

 

Anyway, as to how often the star/button works - the thread only shows as "read" (UNbolded) when you've accessed the last page. If you access a thread via the title, OR the bolded button/star takes you to a page somewhere in the middle, and you read a couple of pages from there but do NOT get to the last page, the thread STAYS bolded. And clicking on the button/star will take you to where you left off.

 

It's only if you access the LAST page that the thread then appears as "read" (UNbolded).

Site doesn't properly load on my work desktop, im guessing it could be something on my end though. Also, when I enter a thread I've already checked in on it no longer takes me to the oldest post I haven't read. Someone please let me know if I'm doing something wrong on that one.

I would love an easier way to get to Classifieds as well as the messenger icon and notification more in plain view. Either way I love navigating in Classifieds, it would be nice to have it more streamlined for easy messaging and searching.
