Junior Shaft for Cleveland RTX 3 Womens Wedges

During the pandemic I started down the rabbit hole of buying my 8 year old daughter clubs she really doesn't need.  None the less I cut a Cleveland RTX3 Womens Wedge but still think it is still a little too heavy for her.  The shaft after cutting is still much thicker and I wanted to see if anyone had a link or suggestion to a junior shaft I can stick in and give a try.  I think i really just wasted money on this, but still have the need to complete the experiment and see how a lighter junior shaft plays

Thanks in advance

I picked up a Ping Glide Forged gap wedge for my 8 y.o. daughter, which came with a Ping TFC 80 Lite (senior) shaft on it cut down to 33".  She chokes up on it, but the wedge is pretty light overall.  I think that shaft is 44g range uncut.  Her 9i, PW and LW have Tensei Red Ladies shafts (51g).

I don't know if the RTX3 setup is heavier, but you may as well give it a go on the range/in practice to see how she feels hitting it--right?

Thanks for the suggestions - we have hit it - she hits well just looks like it is a little more of a struggle than her USKIDS TS3 Wedges. So wanted to try a junior shaft in there.

Take the wedges to a reputable club-builder and have the heads "ported".  Take a look at the USK or Flynn wedge headweights, and ask the club-builder to try to come close to USK or Flynn.

BTW...all "porting" is .. is drilling holes in the back cavity of the clubs to take weight out of the head.

Fun fact...this is exactly how the original Scotty Cameron red dot came about.  He was trying to get Tiger's putter to a specific swingweight, and he ported the face to get there...then paint filled it red.  The rest is history.

Bumping this up... was curious if anyone has further long term observation on ladies/adult wedges vs continuing with junior ones like Ts3? I see that my son is more inconsistent with full/half wedges with the Ts3....so would like to experiment with some wedges here.

I've been back and forth on this.  My kids have taken different paths--older one hits OEM wedges better, younger one hits TS3 and Prodi g wedges better.  Difference in swing speed is only a few MPH.

I always put a ladies recoil shaft in my daughters wedges and never had an issue. Cleveland also makes a ladies wedge which is the same head as the mens but it comes with light weight ladies flex shaft. You can always paint the letters so they aren’t pink if you have boys
