Question for the posters who play Crown Pointe, Farmington, MO...

How often do they go cart path only?

 

Typically I dont care much but I am going Thurs/Fri for a stay and play and intend on playing 36 each day, not being path only would help me greatly from not dying lol.

 

Of course it looks like Farmington has gotten 40 inches of rain the last day and going to continue to get rain.

 

2020 continues its wrath, we got cancelled in April cuz of Covid, had to cancel in July because, again, it rained every day the week we were going.  Now rescheduled for this week, last week weather looks perfect but nope, all of the sudden its heavy thunderstorms every damn day.

They will go 'cart path only' after big rains like we've had this week.  But if we catch a 1/2 day without rain, they will likely lift the restriction.  FYI, holes 7 and 11 are cart path only all the time.  Our fairways are all zoysia and are perfect, but it is tough to do much damage even if they are a bit wet.

 

If the forecast is correct, I can see them being CPO on Thursday, off the paths on Friday.

Sounds good thanks for the reply! I am hoping the forecast is only 'half' right and maybe a little less rain falls or hoping tomorrow is dry and lets the course dry up a bit before Thurs.

By the way, not a good sign, but I just received a text message from Crown that the course is closed the rest of the day, due to rain.  Hopefully this system will leave tonight and you will be good to go for Thurs/Fri.

O geez, so probably no chance its NOT path only on Thurs huh?

Depends, there is rain all around us today, but right now, nothing happening.  If we can get thru today without rain, may be off the cart paths tomorrow.  But with any rain, likely will be cartpath only.

Looks like you ended up with a pretty decent day yesterday, hopefully you liked the course.  I got out after work and saw some members off the cart path, so I'm guessing it was that way all day?  Greens seemed a bit slow, but our super keeps them fairly wet.

It was perfect. Path only for first 9 on Thurs then switched to 90 degree.

Played 36 Thurs, got in 54 on Fri haha. Love that place and what a deal. Pace of play was awesome, maybe cuz holiday wkend it wasn't that crowded on Thurs Fri.

 

 

That rough tho is no joke, good lord some holes it had to be 7 inches.

 

1st class experience and staff tho, this is our 2nd time going and can't wait to go back
