Is it seriously a 2 month wait for Srixon irons?

Are they THAT far backed up where an order for a set of Z785 irons has a 2 month lead time?

Some places have discontinued the Z785s completely since the ZX7s have started to be released in Europe so count yourself lucky that you can get a set.

He probably shouldn't count himself lucky unless he actually gets them. In my experience with all sorts of consumer products, extended wait times on soon to be replaced products usually end up meaning you can't get them.

 

FWIW, I ordered a single Cleveland iron (gap wedge) directly from ClevelandGolf.com to add onto my iron set several weeks ago. It is still stuck on status "Not Shipped" which I'm pretty sure at this point means I'll never get it.

I don't know about the 785 irons, but we waited over 5 weeks for a stock Launcher HB Driver from them.  Most OEM's are still severely impacted by delayed shipments from their components.

Yes, I take that sort of delay on an outdated product to mean "Forget about it, buy something else".

I'm hearing that quite a few shafts and grips are starting to get pretty backlogged. Obviously some distributors and shops will have inventory, but if the club manufacturers can't get those items through their normal channels they'll probably just wait rather than open new accounts or buy from third parties.

You'll be waiting just as long for TM, Mizzy, CAlly and a host of others as they are back-logged because of the pandemic. Hell Mizuno about 3 weeks ago was at 7 weeks TAT on custom orders.

Its been 3 months since I ordered DG X7 shafts and just got notification that it will be another 2 months, at the very least, which probably means I'll be lucky to get them by the end of the year.

Order Sim Max woods custom for my brother right from TM Site - had in 9 days.

 

Order a set of T100 for my dad with custom specs through pro shop - 11 days.

 

Mizuno for sure is behind 6-7 weeks.  No clue on Cally.

Cally has been absurdly fast with orders. My order came in like 5 days (not business days) from Mexico.

Bottom line up front: Patience is a virtue.

 

Lots of FOMO, and “I want it now” going on.  Honestly, who actually wears out irons in one model cycle?  No one.  (Not towards OP, but others want to be the first on the block to have new shiny widgets.)

 

I understand people wanting a recreational item when they order it, but this isn’t Amazon Prime.

 

Mizuno and Srixon have lower units produced than Cally and TM.  Also lower market share.  Some can learn about economies of scale, business, and market disruptions before complaining about product delays.  Anyone remember toilet paper shortages earlier this year?

Pure jokes in that you say that 2 OEM's are able to meet demand of new, current line gear, while adding another is just as far behind...  You can add Ping to the list of companies that are well behind (took 5 weeks to get a G400 warranty return for a G400).  So 2 of the 5 big NA companies having issues (no idea on Cobra), but not from your experience...

 

Hell, just a few years ago Srixon was miles behind just when there was a strike at the LA docks ffs compared to what is going on today...   

 

You can call it 'trolling', I call it common sense...

P770s are showing 11/09 delivery right now on TMs website.  If they have all the components on hand, normal wait, if they don't, good luck

It all depends on what state (or country) a product is manufactured.  I called Ping a couple months ago (Arizona) and just got a recording.  Its not the manufacturers fault. Different guidelines for different areas. I had to drive 60 miles for my first haircut during this mess.
