2020 Vice Pro Plus vs 2019 Vice Pro Plus

I play the 2019 Vice Pro Plus and a buddy gave me a box of the 2020 version. Only played 2 balls so far and seeing a little difference in launch flight on driver. Will need to give the whole box a run before making final conclusion. Anyone else seeing significant differences?

Used the 2018, and now the 2020. For me it's the perfect ball in terms of distance, spin and height. Previously also used snell mtb x and prov1 x.

I'm seeing increased yardage off the driver with about three rounds in on this new ball.

The biggest difference I have noticed between the original and the new ball is the new ball is much much more durable. The first edition I thought the cover was terrible. The new ball performs well enough in every other category. It is a good value.

I recently found a 2020 (I think) lime colored Pro Plus.  I've used it for 9+ holes and really like it, especially the color.  Never liked yellow (or other non-white) balls before, but the lime doesn't bother me, actually seemed to enhance my focus. Used the ball selector on Vice and it recommended the Pro, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on some lime Pros.  Hope I like them, as I have 63 balls to go through now.

I'm in the same boat - the ball selector matched me with the Pro version, and I found a pro soft in lime that was much nicer looking than the yellow color used on most balls. Anyway, send an update on how you like the 2020 pro once you've had a chance to test it out. I'm looking for a new ball and this is on my shortlist of options to try.

So far the Vice Pro 2020 ball is real solid.  A tad softer than the Pro Plus but otherwise very similar.  Incredibly durable, this is the only sign of use (upper left side in pic) after 18 holes on this ball...

So to revive this a bit...

 

The new version is more durable than the previous version?  I used the previous and tore the crap out of them.  I went thru a sleeve in 18 holes from them just getting beat up from rolling in the fairway and rough.  I like the colors and price, but the durability threw me off of them.

Night and day more durable...The 2020 Pro Plus is an outstanding ball...

Have to agree 100%. Managed to play all 18 today with the same ball (Pro not pro plus) and it is in remarkably good shape. This included 4-5 bunker shots and a some hard landings. I would say out of every ball I’ve played this year it held up probably the best for a full round, really impressed.

I have been playing the Callaway Diablo Tour ball over the past year.  I have found it to be a great all around ball it has everything but the fun color.  Trying to talk myself into ordering from Vice but I just can't pull the trigger.

You can get the 2020 ball on Amazon now, I think it’s worth a shot. I think it’s the best I’ve seen a ball hold up after a round of golf, especially in some pretty wet/muddy conditions.

So after my initial post above I've had mixed experience with durability.  I had 2 lime Pros that marked up pretty badly after some 1/2 wedge shots.  Not sure if it's actual cover damage, or just the lime color going away, but either way it's annoying.  I think I'm moving on as the lime also hasn't grown on me like I thought it would.
