Arnold Palmer Tru-Matic Bronze or brass umbrella emblem

Picked a set of these up the other day but was wondering if anyone knows anything about them? I know they are Tru-Matics but unsure of the year.

1984-1986.  Based on suggested retail prices of the day I'd say these were a "tweener" line which was common back then.  Not quite pro-line, but not quite store-line either.

To me those look like low profile irons from the eighties. Seemed like everyone had their own version. Low COG game improvement design.

They really aren't low profile.  They aren't oversized by any stretch.   Just a fairly standard sized cast club.

Appearances can be deceiving, so I'll take your word on it. Never said they were oversized.

But the photo conjured up memories the likes of many 80's low profile offerings by Wilson, Macgregor, Dunlop, Ram, etc.

Not referring to "Browning" style low profile. An all together different class.

I just happen to have a set of these in my garage that a neighbor gave me.  Otherwise I wouldn't be at all familiar with them, other than through my catalogs.  The shafts are trash, so I'm going to fix them up and pass them on to someone.  

When I used the word "oversized," it was just meant to emphasize they were a standard sized club.  It wasn't directed at you in any way.
