Just thought since return of format, would post up my current WITB. As those of you familiar with me know, like to tinker with older models to suit, yet I am quite loathe to change something that works. I tend to have zero difficulty removing loft and If it goes left unintentionally ?, it goes away.  On a whim, decided to put together set with Titleist models played well with in past and these have stuck...So here we go..
 

Driver- Tour Issue Titleist 910D3 10.5* that was already a bit open, then adjusted (surefit D1) to end up with face angle stereotypical WRXer would like ? Fujikura Motore Speeder VC 7.2s tipped 1/2 and head neutrally hot melted to sw at d4.5 and 44.5 with blackout NDMC 58R grip, one full length additional tape and 2 more layers under right hand- logo up (all grips except putter similar). Was fortunate enough to source a couple of these 910d3 heads and after some tweaks, retired the r510tp combos to the walk-in, no mean feat. 

 

Fairway- Titleist 917f2 16.5* (surefit setting D1,18g neutral) Fujikura Motore Speeder TS 8.2s at d4.5 sw and 42.5” - quite particular on fairway and this one along with a Tour Edge Exotics cbx 119 16.5* with RIP Beta 80s (that combo flights considerably higher) engaged in ongoing battle for starting spot.
 

Hybrid- Titleist 818 H1 19* (B2 surefit, 18g fade) Fujikura Motore Speeder TS hb 8.8s, -1/2” and d5 sw- first hybrid I really like since old Adams Idea Pro and it rotates very rarely with 962b 2 iron based on specific conditions.

 

Irons- Titleist 962b (my favorites of all time, have a “few”sets, yet more difficult to find lately thanks to Wunder??) 3-pw currently used- although the 2 iron does still make it into usage when course/conditions allow. S400 plus 1/4”, hickory dowels, 1.5* upright from standard for those, d5 sw.

 

Wedges- Vokey SM8 raw 54s and 60m both with s400, plus 1/4”, 1* upright, semi-straight leading edge and additional heel relief. D6 and 6.5 sw, respectively. After being fortunate enough to get some changes made, these became my favorite Vokey wedges since my 2006 Proto ones, which were used as a template for grinds/shaping of these, amazing how that works??
 

Putter- Cameron studio select Laguna 1.5- 35.25” length and 70.75* lie with 25g weights and ECU themed paint fill/ purple pistolini grip. Have a very nice CT Laguna that has quite a bit of personal history and makes appearance occasionally plus a BeCu Ping Zing2 with a bit of lead tape that have made a ton of putts with over years and tends to make its way back into bag. Might have a “couple” of other putters from great folks met over years that don’t see course often, yet won’t go anywhere either.

 

Ball- Bridgestone Tour B XS- have used Bridgestone models for years, very predictable and best ball model in wind for me to achieve flights I like.

Love it !   Very detailed write up.  Maybe you need a job here !? ?..... and that purple Cameron grip is to die for !! But the headcover game maybe the strongest I’ve seen !  My bag is entirely lacking there.   I don’t even have a current model TM stock cover on my driver.  Lol

At least have a nice cover on your putter that you actually use (both putter and cover) and isn’t a wall hanger ?

Sweet set of sticks!  The 910 D3 and 962b’s are legendary.

That’s true.  Makes folks cringe when they see me in the rain with that cover and putter.  Lol.  Tools not jewels !

Man, I love everything about your bag!  That laguna is such an underrated putter.  Those irons were my introduction to “real” clubs.  Nice work!

I am hitting it some. Doc gave me permission to hit some. Played in the Dog Fight Saturday. They let me hit from the Super Senior Tees since I can only hit the driver about 180 or so. I can hit a 7 iron only 100 yards or so. Did put the graphite shafted KZG teardrops in the bag even dug up a Vokey 54* with a graphite shaft. I can only pull it back to 3:00 or so but can get through it pretty decent. I am actually finding the center of the club. LOL crazy for me every club in the bag is graphite shafted except my putter. I am doing advanced vocational therapy starting next week. The shoulder is healed it is just the back and getting my core built back up. Just taking it easy day by day. Yep looks strange at address not looking down at a Mac blade. Been off the back brace and crutch about 6 weeks now.  Been off the hard stuff (oxy) about 2 months and the muscle relaxers about 2 weeks. But I think with all the good folks praying for me I will be fine in time

I just bagged the Titleist 3w (at 15*) and it could very well be a winner.  I'm very similar to you, if it goes left, it goes away.  Been very impressed with it thus far.

Well....full Titleist set up no more, wonder if posting WITB was an influence?? Ping Zing2 BeCu back in starting line up, 917f2 and 818h1 19* replaced by TEE cbx 16.5* and Callaway Mavrik 21* fairway- both with RIP beta 80s tipped to suit.

21* Mavrik went left on course when went after it a bit- so it’s gone.  Currently testing a Mavrik 10.5* subzero with Tour AD TP7s that shows quite a bit of promise, hit a few big drives with it so far- just going to be a difficult task to unseat the consistency of the 910d3 w/ Fuji 7.2. The TEE cbx 16.5* with RIP beta 80s is firmly in starting spot.

DW- appreciate the sentiment, phrasing could use a bit of work?

That Mav-sub really woke up when had that Graphite Design AD TP shaft installed, got launch into window like to see, just if miss a bit toe side, spin can get a bit too low..trying to balance that with potential for occasional bombs.

Love the irons.  I used the Titleist 981 for over 20 years; loved them since they had just a little offset compared to the 962s.  I am playing with the Titleist forged 804s now; they have more perimeter weighting than the 981s.

Mavrik subzero and TEE fairway out- back to familiar stuff posted earlier in thread. Full disclosure, may have a couple of nice choices with Ventus shafts pending for build and testing in near future.

Driver- Titleist TSi3 10* (D1 surefit) w/ red weight in T1 position, Atmos TS black 6s with NDMC blackout grip (logo up on woods, logo under on irons/wedges) 44.75”, D4 SW

 

Fairway- Mizuno st190 TS 15* set 1 position toward higher, Atmos TS black 7s, 42.5”, D4 SW

 

Irons- Miura Giken cb 2006 3,4,5

           Miura Giken cb 1006 6-pw 

based off 38” 5 iron, 2* upright, D4 SW 3-9, pw D5

Nippon 1150gh tour S

 

Wedges- Miura 51,55,59, 1* upright, D6

Seamus from trip to Bandon Dunes a couple years ago, AM&E magnetic on the putter.
