QST3 v. RX: Which is longer off the tee?

I swing all the clubs pretty well, but I’m a geezer. My driver SS is about 85 mph. I like both these balls off all my clubs — their urethane covers lend themselves to my strength at the short game — but other things being equal, I’d enjoy a few more yards off the tee. Price point doesn’t have to be an issue, but I’m not interested in paying a dollar a ball more for the RX if it’s longer by 24”.

 

I will pay special attention to responses from players with my parameters. As always, thanks.

No difference off the tee

I prefer the QStar Tour because it’s slightly more durable and I can find them on sale more easily.

Thanks for the response. I don't know whether it's our not-red-hot SSs or not, but I also often find scant difference between two well struck drives with different brands of ball.

Having played both this year I find very little difference off the tee. Swing speed is higher 97+/-.

If you check the Spyy site, they show the Bridgestone as slightly longer off the driver.
The important question is really ‘which will be longer for my swing and equipment setup?’. The QST launches significantly higher and spins less. If you’re already using a high-loft driver, say at 12 degrees, with a positive angle of attack, the RX could be significantly longer for you, as the QST will launch too high and have minimal roll-out after landing.

Conversely, if you’re using a 9 degree club with minimal upwards attack, the QST may be exactly what you need.
