Sucessor For 2007 Burner 3 Wood

While everything in my bag has been changed over multiple times my 2007 burner 3 wood has yet to be replaced. The diablo octane tour was in the bag for a while as you can see I am looking for suggestions for current clubs as these are long in the tooth. I use my 3 wood almost exclusively off the tee and I am a lefty so that limits some of the current offerings. I really am enjoying the Titleist TS2 driver and my mizuno hot metal irons. I am a mid handicap player and am 56 years old. The burner is a point and shoot club and I hit allot of 3 woods off the tee. I just find it hard to believe there is not a current model that can give me a bit of extra distance off the tee. The Taylormade SIM Ti has caught my eye but I have tried these driver replacements before with disastrous results, very inconsistent results.

 

Maybe just overthinking it and the burner can indeed keep up with the 3 woods of 2020...I just have a ton of confidence on the tee box with the burner in hand but find myself wanted 10 extra yards  too often.

 

Suggestions?

Jump from vintage to classic, I would suggest Rbz 1st stage (green) one. The father of  "13 more yards".

@Minge: Would a mini-driver= in-scope for your consideration (if so...then consider the Taylormade ‘Original One’ with adjustable neck/ Loft)? Or only conventional 3 woods?

The "original one" is something I would love to get my hand on and demo. I have a couple of 2nd swings in Minneapolis and that helps they are pretty lefty friendly. I tried that RBZ back in the day could not hit it to save my life. I had the Adams 3 wood that was a Ti back a few years back that kept throwing the weights. That thing way a monster off the tee but I could not keep the weights in it..Adams replaced them once and then gave me a credit the 2nd time it happened.

One of the best FW I have played is the 2007 Burner TP.  I loved the shape of the head and sound at impact.  It wasn’t as forgiving as the regular Burner, but packed a punch.  I just preferred the smaller head and that’s why I stuck with it.  Over the years I have played many offerings from TM (RBZ, R11, Ms 1-4), Ping (G10, i20), Titleist, Cobra (most recently, the F9 Speedback).  Notice above, I didn’t mention Callaway.  Then I came across a solid deal on an Epic Flash SZ stock Tensei Blue.  
 

I played the club this weekend and it’s an absolute monster off the tee!  LOVE the sound and feel at impact.  Unfortunately, course wasn’t long enough to hit off the deck; you can reach par 5s with long iron or hybrids.  We’re still in honeymoon phase, but I could see it staying for a while...

 

Give this one a serious consideration.  I’m sure it can keep up with any of the current models.  Lookup the review on this club by TXG Tour Experience on YouTube.  And you can always find a great deal on this club these days.

Going to go on the callaway preowned site and take a flyer on the Epic Flash Subzero and give it a whirl. Thanks so much for the suggestions, I will keep you posted!
