If smash was same,  but tsi had faster ball speeds, that means you were swinging the tsi faster?

Swingspeed the same, smash factor the same, shaft the same, loft 9.5 vs 9.0...ball speed up by 3 mph. I don’t know why, but it seems that above posters were verifying the same. I was only validating those claims.  I hit them 3 weeks ago and already placed my order then.

It has a huge “Tour” on the side in another pic. Is it a new unreleased Tour Green?

It’s the Aldila ATX Tour Green Graphene. It came out on tour last year but hasn’t been released to the public yet. But when it does... I need one! Haha!

Cant happen, smash factor is calculated by ball speed divided by swing speed, so if ball speed was higher, and swing speed was same, then smash cant be the same. Unless it was a gc2.

That is why I said, “I don’t know why”. I have a degree in Physics and a degree in Math. I understand the science, but don't know what this is happening. Argue with the wall. I have no skin in the fight.

Red,

I acknowledge what you said, and you are correct. Smash factor is only a mathematical result. I did not watch my swingspeed to the 0.1 mph. However, I only swing it about 100 mph everytime. Ball speed is alway about 150. With the new Titleist, it was averaging 153.

However, I must say that your comment was correct. It was a Foresight machine at Edwin Watts.

Yea the gc2 (if thats what it was) machines dont measure smash, or swing speed. They use a default smash number, like 1.45 for driver then estimate swingspeed on whatever ballspeed it reads. Just have to be careful with those, a mishit and it will say your swingspeed is way lower than it really was.

The fitting they did right after was interesting.  He was hitting some impressive, straight drives with that Fujikura Pro 2.0 TS shaft, but they weren't able to completely optimize launch and spin with the 9* head, which apparently is the only one they had in LH.  He was averaging just under 11* launch with 2100 spin.  It will be interesting to see what happens with a 10* head, lofted down a bit.

Not sure why Matty is getting super low spin compared to other you tubers....must be just him.  I dont think I will spin the 8.0 head less than him with a ventus black...  I think I better get one ordered before they get back ordered.  Stock av raw white 70x or ventus black 7x.....hmmm....

I thought that was strange as well. It for sure is a low spin head but that seemed extreme..

Yeah titleist went lower half a degree loft, and CG is lower and further back meaning higher launch and more spin and decrease in loft compared to TS.  Correct?  I have never played a titleist that spun too little.  BtW I just picked up a mint 910fd fairway wood with a tour spec 8.2x.  Thing is a rocket and has the best alignment aid of any year....

I hit the TSi3 today with the XC7X in 10*.

Will book in for more testing next week but initial thoughts on feel and sound are awesome - very similar sound to SIM but with better feel.

Didn’t get a chance to spend a ton of time as I was dropping by for a GC, so 10 swings told me I need to hit it more.

It looks like it is a pretty deep face for modern drivers. That may be why they have shaved a few more rpms from center the higher strikes. For me I can put the weight on the toe side like my SIM and still get a stable flight...

Wait my SIM just heard me talking about another driver!.......No honey I said I just wanted to meet the TSI3 that’s all!!

sorry gotta run! Lol

How did the XC shaft feel in this head? I am thinking about this combo as well. Thanks

Oh and I looked at the titleist site today and shaft options....meh...what's the deal with the premium shafts GD?  GD sucks in my experience most are hook machines.  And they are worse than taylormade, they come out with shafts like every 3 months.  Tour ab, tour ad 123, tour ad cuz, tour ad blah blah blah.

I don’t think that’s true.. I use a gcquad very regularly and it gives  smash factor number. But only if you have the dots on the face. Otherwise it is just a ball speed number..
