Titleist TSi 2 & TSi 3 driver and 3 woods - 2020 Safeway Open

Recommended Posts

So after calling Titleist because my order status had not updated since the fitting on 11/05, they told me the club shipped today, which is great. One thing I did think was a bit annoying is that I asked for them to do the Tensei White in TX, which is listed on the site and even let me know if there's an upcharge option. But they just said they dont have it in TX and its shipped/built with X.

How...

I mean its not some mystery shaft, its right here: https://www.mca-golf.com/products/av-raw-white

Anyways... Still excited, but now maybe just sprinkling a dusting of annoyed in

Again , it's not the point of already having a wrench, but that a premium driver did not come with a new one is the mindset. I've purchased the last 3 Titleist released drivers , and a couple iterations of fairways and they all came with a wrench and I've given most of them away.

I guess I'm one of the few who keeps them. Im sure the ones who don't have a wrench will have a friend like you who gives them one haha

I’ve been using Callaway wrench for years because it’s smaller and they work just as well in any other manufacturer.

Agreed they do work great in the shaft tip screw. They secure the shaft better than any other Brand of wrench but I would forgetabout them breaking the weight screws so I got rid of them and just don’t use them anymore-too much of a PITA to get more weight screws.

I didnt even notice mine didnt come with a wrench because I have probably 16 of them on my work bench already.  But I think it should come with one.  This is the beginning of all companies realizing they can now charge for the wrench, just like airlines now charge for bags!😂

What's crazy is that I would buy another Titleist branded wrench, 😂

Not to get off the exhilarating topic of the missing wrench but does anyone know the stock swingweight of the TSi2 three wood?

I'm flabbergasted on the fact this is golfwrx and we are complaining about a 20 dollar wrench. The ones complaining probably have 4-5 at home already. And the obvious fact if you can afford to even play this expensive sport called golf a then you shouldn't be complaining about a 20 dollar wrench.  Just saying.

The question is do we get the normal wrench or the TX wrench...keeps your mind busy

I feel like a little kid. I just have no patience. I keep seeing people getting their shipping notifications well after the time frame I ordered mine from DD's.

I ordered mine on the first day of preorder and received it yesterday.  Plus no wrench with custom order.  Titleist said they would include wrench with any custom orders but that must not be true.

I am a little annoyed after buying a TSI3 driver and TSI2 fairway that titleist couldn't include a wrench from the factory. Spend that amount of money include a damn wrench.

I was in the store last night picking up my fairway wood, and asked them about the wrench.  They said they weren't coming with them anymore.  I looked down below the counter, and noticed a Titleist bag with a wrench, and the instruction manual for $24.99.  I told the guys that if you spend $850 on 2 clubs, this should come with it.  They said they hadn't sold 1 of them yet, but Titleist wasn't giving them out anymore.  Glad I've got 10 or 15 of them at home, but for someone who is buying their first driver, it would suck to have to spend the extra $25 in order to make any adjustments.

Man, the looks on these aren’t bad but they aren’t on par with the TS2/3. Driver face is all covered in some print, fairway score lines look like something out of a cobra prototype. Hmm, was hoping to love these as soon as I saw them, but we’ll have to see what the reviews say!

Agreed, I especially don't like the move away from the traditional alignment on top, but I still plan on testing it out. Will take a lot to get the TS4 out of my bag though!

I guess the TX could feel smoother ,with the higher torque rating due to the better materials , but the 65 X is no slouch. I put it up the RIPx 65TX and the white 65 feels more demanding.

I ordered TSi3 10* with the Tensei Blue on the first day of pre-order and it’s not shipping out til 12/7.  Retailer I ordered from has all the shafts except the one I ordered... 🤦🏻‍♂️

Thank goodness for club hoarding, I still have a driver to play with! 😆

For those of you that have used the TS2 prior.....I had the driver for a good amount of time but could not get the thing to stop hooking on me and the face always looked closed even with the Surefit settings. I purchased the TSi3 blindly and hoping for the better!

For those that hit both 3 woods, did you notice any difference between them when hitting them off the deck?

I wanted to love the tsi2 more but I spun it massively compared to the tsi3. The tsi2 looked easier to hit and the tsi3 looked more demanding but it was surprisingly easy to hit and numbers exceeded the ts3 as well. I was just going to order the tsi3 driver but ended up selling my 3wood and its on order too

C1 was the setting that hooked the least for me, but the TS2 just sits closed compared to my Taylormade M5
