Well here we go.  Although first blush this looks more rounded like the ts4 vs tsi3 with a more pear shape  vs The rounded ts3 .  So presumably will be in the bags of a few at winged foot  as early as this week ?

I haven't bought a Titliest driver since 2004. This might change that. 

 

TSi3 looks very promising, and they always have good shaft options.

Right with you on all counts.  The TSi3 is nudging ahead of the G425 in the "want (not need) to buy a new driver".

I think they are equal on my “want list” but the TSi will get the first run due to release dates. So the G425 will have to out perform it. Tie goes to the incumbent

Last Titleist driver I played was the 983E..... one of the best drivers I’ve played and seen!! Hoping for big things with the TSI3

I would say that the rapid adoption during the week of a Major says alot about this one.  For so many to put it in the bag for the first time at the most difficult driving test on the calendar says a lot.

Looks like Jordan made the quick switch to the TSI3 driver. He surely isn't one to switch equipment quickly. Might say something about this club

I might actually have to do some real testing this year... I usually try to hit everything for fun and see what I like the feel of... but maybe this year I'll actually do a full on number comparison and try different things. I'm intrigued by the Cobra RAD because I love Cobra drivers and I'm REALLY amused they named it RAD.

I'm in NZ at the moment.  Local stores have the G425 metals although I haven't hit/seen it yet.  TSi3 should be available in the next month.

I currently play a 915D3 8.5*. I'm definitely getting a TSi3 w/stock Diamana/Tensei White 60X but I wonder if I'll be going with the 8* or 9*. Historically, I've hated 9.5* and higher lofted drivers because I can see too much loft at address.

Why not go 9 and decrease loft. Less loft and more open at address

That’s likely what will happen. I set my 8.5* 910D3 to 7.75* but I’m able to play the 915D3 at 8.5* due to spin reduction. I assume the TSi3 will drop spin a little more.

 

Maybe I just need to get used to seeing more loft at address.

I'm curious about that, because some people love seeing loft and other people are just allergic to it. What about seeing too much loft bothers you?

I'm backing the no-loft look. My miss is a high block to the right and I want to see a flat face when I look down at it.

I grew up playing a 6.5* 975D. When I look at 9.5* and 10.5* drivers, the increased loft makes me feel like I need to change my delivery to avoid hitting moon balls.

Ah gotcha, makes sense. A 6.5* 975D just looks like a wall behind the ball and a 10* driver would like like a wedge by comparison ?

Interesting, as seeing a flat face would actually make me block it high and right thinking I need to help the ball in the air. I was a low ball hitter as a kid though.

That’s actually the reason why you most likely hit a high block is because of lack of loft
