My VII came last week, in the middle of multiple winter weather events in the area. All I can say so far is that Will did a great job building (as expected), the paint job looks pretty sick, and the waggle test reminds me of the old Motore I used to love.

Whenever I can get back to the range or a golf course, I'll be trying to compare the 757  to the Atmos Black 7x. Everyone's mileage will vary for sure but I tend to stick to the school of thought that just because a shaft is labeled as a certain type of launch doesn't really mean it will do so in certain hands. Your loft and driver head matter way more, and this is going into a 9 degree SIM.

How's that vii feel? How's it compared to the evo 2?

How does the Speeder Evo 661 VII compare to the Speeder 661 TR?

thanks!

Two very different designs. The Speeder TR is far stiffer in the mid section and more of a stiff, linear type of profile. The Speeder VII is softer in middle and more of a "Blue" type of profile that you'll feel load much more.

So TR more of a White/Black profile vs. a blue profile?

Thanks for this

Anyone still playing this shaft? If so how’s it performing and what are your swing characteristics?

Trying to figure out how much to tip the one I picked up...

I just moved it out of my Stealth+ driver. I picked up a Ventus TR so the Speeder will probs get cut down and put in the 3 wood. But I played the 757 VII x flex in my TSi3 and Stealth+ for last season and beginning of this season. I am about 112-115 and I did not tip it any. Played it at 45.25”. Had a nice mid flex and you could feel the transfer at impact. I don’t have a aggressive transition or a lot of load/lag. Definitely gave me a nice mid flight and not super low spin but I think on Trackman I was getting around 2500rpm. Both my drivers were 9 degree loft. I really enjoyed the shaft and had no issue swinging smooth or really going after one and the shaft always kept up. Pretty pumped to get it in the 3 wood now. Hope this helps a bit.

Solid shaft. Only swing 105. Smooth transition. For me it has a mid high flight. Has a nice mid kick. Stands up to really hard and fast swings. I would equate it to the original blue evo but made with better materials.  To me it’s similar to the Diamana ZF. I would not suggest tipping this shaft. Go up in weight or flex vs tipping. That’s what Fujikura recommended

Agree with all these comments, but I went a bit different for what it's worth

102mph

went down in weight to the 569 and stuck with S flex - tipped it 1/2"

have it in a Rogue St maxLS and Really enjoying it

Love this shaft in my fairway woods. It’s been killer in my 7 wood but I think I need to go a little heavier. A shame they don’t offer the evo vii in 8x.

any suggestions on what would be a similar profile but in 8x offering? @Fujikura Golf

This is interesting to me. I’m moving down to S flex and down a weight class as I’ve lost some speed 😑 and am around that ballpark nowadays. I had (have) the 2014 Motore Speeder 661x/757x in driver and 4 wood. They have been awesome but I’m maybe working too hard now. Looking to go Evo VII in 569s/661s or Ventus red in 5s/6s. Does the 569 hold together when you go after it? Ever hit the Ventus red? Thx.
