How to get ahold of Lajosi putters?

So I've called and nobody answers or there phone just doesn't work, and I've emailed a couple times with no response. I do know it's Australian time.  Has anybody ever got through to them, and if so, what am I missing?  Thanks

I had a putter made 2 years ago and it took 4-7 days on average for a response for each email sent.   I sold that putter pretty quickly though.  I had deep milling on the face and it did not offer the kind of feedback I was looking for.  It was way to soft and muted for my liking.  Craftsman ship and attention to detail were excellent though.

Sent them an email about a month ago. No response.

I think Kari and most custom guys are more busy than not.  Two years ago he would respond in a few days.  I had Lamont not respond to me, and also Olson.  Keep trying if you really want one. 

 

I believe parts of Australia are still on Covid lock down, and that may be the issue.  If he is too backed up, he may want to catch up before taking on more business that causes even further delays.

I recently did customs with Mann, Lajosi, and Mack Made.

 

Mack Made was super quick to respond to everything via Instagram and text. The putter was completed and delivered in 3 weeks.
 

I originally reached out to Lajosi via Instagram and he responded quickly. Similarly, he responded quickly via Instagram on pretty much everything, but the putter took many months to complete. 

 

Mann was very hard to get a hold of for many months. I tried via Instagram and his email with no response. Finally, I reached out to him on this website and he built me a beautiful custom within a month.

 

In short, I believe I hit Mack Made and Lajosi up at the perfect time to get in the cue. I’m pretty sure Mann was too busy for a while, and then I just hit him up on this site at the perfect time. So, keep trying and you will finally catch Lajosi at the right time. As mentioned above, he’s probably too busy to take on your work right now.

Melbourne is in lock-down over Covid-19. Materials are taking a long time to reach their destinations and the office may not be manned all the time. I shipped to Lajosi in July and it took 14 days to reach their location instead of the usual FedEx 3 days. Now multiply this by many customers, both restorations and new one offs and you probably get the picture.

 

Be patient. It's well worth the wait ?

Melbourne has been struggling through heavy lock-downs, but I'm sure he's been working solidly throughout the pandemic; and is replying to all my emails promptly (currently have a putter on order). Sometimes his website can be a little glitchy, I'd recommend just trying to contact him through instagram.

Seems like it all comes down to luck... I never had issues when emailing with him, but I know people that waited longer times and never got responses... putters are great but doesn't do much good if you can't communicate.  Sorry OP!

I ordered my putter back in April and the response time was typically 24-48hrs for an email. Like others have said I think all these putter makers are busier than ever with the big demand of golf equipment due to covid. Overall happy with my experience. I did see that it looks like his website might be having issues the other day.

Kari posts completed putters pretty regularly on Facebook.  You might also send him a message on Facebook.

I had a similar issue, I had e-mailed him about a custom putter and he replied once and then he never wrote me back about how to proceed with ordering. I just assumed he was so busy he couldn't keep up with emails.

Pretty confident all of those putters were assembled and ready to go before the weekend, so I would guess < 14 days. Nice work btw, they were some amazing and cheap flatsticks.

I didn't get an original one from sale ? I ordered a custom dd201!! Got a great deal on one I think especially with sale! Should be 2-3 weeks plus shipping I believe Kari said in email.

It has been said here twice, unlike America parts of Australia (Melbourne in particular) have been in a serious lockdown due COVID19. Businesses have been closed unless essential as the city had a serious (by our standards) second wave. I am certain that Lajosi has been affected by this. Kari is a great guy and runs a medium sized engineering business outside of his wonderful specialist putters. Try his facebook or instagram page or re-email him. The lockdown is scaling back so he should be back in communication soon.

His email has still been working for me. 1 or 2 days at most for a reply about a putter he is making for me. Maybe he cut back on inquiries unless you have an order in? I don't know honestly but maybe that is it! Curious to see how long shipping takes to get this thing from Australia with the world "pandemic" going on

^^ This.  Honestly anyone who does most of their business through email  can relate.  When I get super busy my “unread” email list gets shamefully long.  I have to prioritize the more pressing emails like everyone else.  Keep in mind also that Lajosi makes every putter himself, so he’s going to be working the mill many hours of the day as well.  I guarantee, if you know you want one, place an order for a custom putter, choose the online design options that are close to what you want, and add a note to the order that you want a custom build and include your phone # and email address.  I did this a few days ago and had a return email from him within hours.

 

 

Money talks and bullxxxx walks, after all.  The fact that you’ve placed an order means you’re a serious customer, not a potential customer, and he will take care of you.  Real customers have to come first.

Exactly. Same here I ordered custom DD201 online and changed a few things. He was extremely accommodating in everything. Would recommend him 100%

 

Here's a few photos of it. Came in within like 5 days from Australia. Gorgeous putter imo Would not hesitate to order again tomorrow if need be!
