Ping Craz-E Lite Issues

The leg issue was alittle different than the issue i read about but i havent had it that long.

Is the leg issue, specific to the Craz-E Lite? Or is it something you experience with other Ping models, like the Hoofer?

I've always liked Ping's stand design, where the whole bottom of the bag, pivots flat, when the legs are extended and the bag is standing — I think it's less prone to failure. On my 2019 Sun Mountain 2.5+ the rubber on the bottom of the stand wore out and fell off. Other issues I have with the 2.5+ is the strap would occasionally fall out of the buckle while walking and the bag would fall to the floor. My other issue with the 2.5+'s stand mechanism is that I feel like I have to pick up the bag further away from my body so the leg won't catch on my body — with Ping's design, the legs are shorter, so I got used to just picking up the bag and strapping it on my shoulders. But with that said, the 2.5+ has otherwise been great.

personally I'm in the same boat. love the look but worried about these issues. I was told ping stopped making them because of the divider issue but will replace with any issues. best customer service in the game. might go with the hoofer lite though to be safe.

I think Ping scaled down production, thinking that sales would also slow down — likely why the G425 isn't being released here in the USA, first. I was going to pick up a Craze-E Lite from Roger Dunn over Labor Day weekend, but apparently all their stores were out and they were on back order. I e-mailed Ping a few days ago, asking if it was back ordered, and they responded yesterday, saying it was on back order until October. I'm also hoping that they are taking this time to fix the issues.

makes sense , my ping rep told me they were stopping production of the bag.

Bumping old thread — the consensus in this thread was that they stopped production to fix the quality issues with this bag. Any idea what the outcome has been? I still see them being sold, love the size and look but the reviews scare me lol

Edit: Reached out to a Ping rep, they say they halted production and have since fixed the issues with the bag. I took a chance and ordered one, won’t be here for a few days. Fingers crossed lol

Ping replaced my bag with the new “fixed” bag. My issue was the inner stand mechanism not deploying the legs properly. Since I’ve got the new bag I haven’t had any issues. I really like the bag.

Very interested to hear the feedback around the ongoing quality - as a long time Ping bag user (20+ years) who wanted a super lightweight bag - went with Sun Mountain 2.5+ and have been impressed so far.  Was looking Hoofer CEL before a member at my club who had one told me all of the problems he had only 2.5 months in.

A little update: I received my bag today (2020 version)... I love the size and love the look of this bag but it is a tight squeeze with 14 clubs (standard grips). Lots of club tangle, it was pretty frustrating just trying to get the bag setup to try it out in the house. It looks like each opening has its own dividers that are pretty well isolated but they are not full length. There’s like 6-12” at the bottom where the grips can tangle. Also, the legs would ‘slide’ when putting clubs in and taking clubs out of the bag.

I also bought the K1-lo (previous version, not the 2021 version) and outside of looks (which are subjective) it is all around a better bag. Way less club tangle, weighs slightly less, I prefer the pocket layout for my own needs, I prefer the thicker straps, I prefer the stand mechanism/legs.

I really wanted to like the PING but I think I may need to return it and go with the Mizuno instead
