56* vs 60* TW MG2

Just bought a set of TW MG2 wedges 56 and 60. Absolutely love them.

However, I'm having trouble figuring out the real difference other than the loft. Their grinds seems to be different, but I'm lost on what to use when. Traditionally, I only used my 58 for anything within 75 yards (the 50 and 54 was used for gapping)

Any advice? I wish Tiger Woods gave an instruction manual on how and when he uses each wedge.

For those using a 56/60 or 54/58 do you use both wedges withing 50 yards?

can't comment on these specific wedges, but I use a 56 and 60, with the 56 having more bounce than the 60.

I use the 56 for almost all greenside bunker shots

I'll use 56 over 60 for any shots around the green where the ball is sitting up (easier to go under ball with 60 with less bounce).

I'll use 60 when I need a shot from less than 70 yards that needs to stop quickly (high shot), and the lie is good (again, not fluffy grass where the ball might be sitting up).

I have these (and love them) and so far here is how I break down the shots between the two. Impossible to put everything down but this should be a general representation.

56:

full / partial shots from about 90 yards to 60 yards, high flight and land with lots of spin (yes, these do zip back nicely)
any shots inside 50 or green side where I have a little room on the green to get a couple of bounces, or some roll

when the ball is sitting up nicely in the rough greeenside (can flop if needed)

bunkers with some room on the green

ball on slight upslope near green

and any other shots where I have a little room and ball is not on a super tight lie

Don't chip a lot with it, but sometimes it comes in handy for those too

60:

full / partial shots inside 50-60 yards

tight pins with not much room to roll or hop

tight bunker shots

downhill lies greenside

anything that’s on a tight lie and needs to go high-ish and land softly

rarely chip with this

tried some flops - the club can do it, but I’m not good enough to have it as a reliable shot right now

Am not the best of short game players, but really working on it and getting better...

My exact shots with those two lofts! My Vokey Forged 56 (high bounce 10 M grind) is exceptional and I could honestly use it as my highest lofted wedge without issue so this is not going anywhere but very much considering the 60*. Just seems like a wonderful grind with so much versatility. I am a very good wedge player distance control and spin wise but lacking on odd little greenside shots. Trying to get down to scratch and getting those up and down consistently is a huge factor.
