They are not trying to hit the green. They are trying to put the ball in a particular portion of the green and from the correct side of the hole. With the greens that severe even with the thick rough they are sometimes better off being off the green from 20ft than being on the green from 60 with three ridges to traverse.

I think they can be worn multiple places.  The wrist is most common I think but some players are probably uncomfortable w/that so choose to wear them on the arm.

The ball didn't move. I believe if you rest your club behind the ball just once, and then take the club away on your swing you should be all good if the ball doesn't move.

Question about Winged Foot for anyone who may know: at spots around the clubhouse (I've seen this on camera shots looking back towards #10 tee and also in the background of Todd Lewis' position when he reports during Live From on GC) are some plants near the clubhouse that have the biggest leaves I have ever seen, 2'-3' in diameter, just enormous, like something you might find in a tropical jungle. Anyone know what they might be?

Rahm the golfer, has a ton of game. Rahm the person, needs a lot of work. My sister manages a Bar & Grill in Scottsdale, and she told me he's so abhorrent, that the wait staff routinely draws straws to see who gets stuck with his table.

I agree but my feeling is that Bryson is synonymous right now with bomb n gouge.....sure other guys certainly can but they've regulated themselves to playing much higher percentage golf......whether it's media driven or forum driven , BRYSON is known for the Big DAWG!?
