If there is one thing this forum loves, it’s making sweeping statements about a tournament on a Thursday.

It's extremely rare to see a guy use a non-standard set of clubs, science, technology and a complete change in body mass (in combination) to get better results.  That sort of “season-to-season” missio

info normally found in a properly constructed thread, esp a major ... just sayin!: TV Thursday, September 17: 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. ET (Golf Channel); 2-5 p.m. ET (NBC)Friday, September 18: 9:30

Gonna be nice to have NBC covering it Looks like Golf channel & NBC  in the afternoon on Thursday & Friday!! NBC all day Saturday & Sunday Joe Buck was horrible

Ugh. On his worst day Joe Buck is far better than Dan Hicks as the event anchor. NBC with a lot of the same old tired voices. But I am interested to note that Trevor Immelman is working the event for NBC. I am not a huge fan of his an an on-air talent but I thought he was employed by CBS?

I don't know, to me it seems to set up a little better of the tee for someone who draws the ball, just based on how the holes bend.  That said, Morikawa has the game to win anywhere, and Monty--who's about as dedicated to the fade as faders come--almost won in 2006.  Seems like a course that doesn't really favor any one type of game or another.

You may be right.  I'm thinking along the lines of a high fade holding greens a little better.  I think 2-putt pars are the winning currency.  I realize the greens aren't Oakmont level in severity, but I think even the really good scramblers are going to make a lot of bogies on top of the ones everyone's going to make because of the rough.

Fox being out of golf broadcasting is not a good thing. I thought they wound up doing a really good job and provided a different experience. Too bad they were losing so much money on that crazy deal they signed.

LOL @ John Cook on the featured groups. First saying the old "a bad putt is better than a bad chip" on Tiger's 3rd shot on #4. Then Tiger blows the putt by the hole and off the green and Cook is all, "maybe he should have pitched that one".

Spieth fighting back!

Fwiw, its on tv for me?  Might be the region, but its on the GLFHD channel.

It’s on TV for me too.  Which has been my major gripe for last two years. No TV till 3 in the afternoon or something.  Finally it’s on golf  channel where it belongs.

Figured out what’s up with Spieth.  He’s playing with Patrick Reed.  I think that guy is his mortal opposite, thus his tackling fuel.  Reed just dunked one. So look for more Spieth birdies.
