P770 vs Gen 3 0311T

Saw the new 770's yesterday and they look great.  I think that these would be very comparable to Gen 3 0311T irons.  Has anyone compared the 2?  Distance? Spin? Launch?

According to Michael Newton Golf, the PXG 0311T G3 has much better feel than the P770.

I have hit both a few times. Not even close... GEN3 feel waaaayyyy better. JPX 921 Is a must try for me.

Changing over from the p770 to Gen 3

after playing the P770 a few rounds. Better feel, better forgiveness, better club the PXG is. Taylormade is probably 2-3 behind when it comes to making a comparable product

I too am changing over to the 0311T after playing with the P770s. More me the P770 did not feel like a forged iron and the miss hits where not forgiving. 0311T is better feeling and much more forgiving in the testing I did. 

 

Worth noting that I am getting a 0311P in the 4 iron because the profile in the P770 and 0311T was a little small for my liking.

I was also considering these two irons.  Anymore feedback on forgiveness between the two?  I’m not a ball striker by any means but can’t stand chunky irons or too much offset.  Also, I play 0311 gen1 irons now.  Would either of these outperform enough to merit a switch?

I went the other way. Purchased Gen3 T in March and played for 3 months. Miss is low toe - not extreme toe just a few mm. Distance loss on a 7 iron was 20+ yards. Never showed up on my testing as I was just striping everything the three times I demoed the PXG. Went back on TRackman to confirm and I replicated the miss.
 

I dumped the Gen3 and when P770 came out I personally thought that club was what the Gen3 T should have been. For me the P770 had same look, same form factor and distance but with much more forgiveness on my miss. 
 

I could argue the shafts I went with on PXG were a bad fit for that club head. I went with Steelfiber 95 stiff which is my favorite shaft and I’ve played it for 4 years now.  I did demo the head with a dozen or so different shafts. My fitter MOI matched the set and all the specs were dead on but they never just felt right to me. In P770 I went with PX 6.0 which is a completely different animal. 
 

Despite my experience I would encourage anyone to hit both. I thought Gen 3 did feel better in testing. But in play they didn’t as I wasn’t hitting them pure. I love the look of PXG and really wanted them to be my forever set. It just didn’t work out.
