"steadfastgolf"    is our name. I have been using it all day and am currently messaging someone on it, so it should be up! 🙂

Found it. Dont see any testing against other shafts, unless i missed it.

i have some questions about this chart:

52C866C0-89E9-425F-9821-26F85FC9A67F.jpeg.8f89af4eb64eba8bc9a601d5277b177a.jpeg

how do you achieve a 1.2 torque through this wide range of weights and flexes? Whats the reasoning? Wouldnt you want some torque for lower speeds? How did you determine those backspin numbers?

We use the standard torque measurement method with a 5" clamp  👍

You will need to be more specific about your balance point question 🙂

Thank you for that! Regarding balance point, that would typically just be presented as a measurement from the tip to wherever the shaft balances on a fulcrum. You can even just balance the shaft on your finger to get a rough measurement. Normally this wouldn't matter so much, but based on those extremely low torque numbers and how the swingweight of Matt's club in the TXG video turned out, it would be great to know where the balance point on your shafts is located. Most shafts these days have a balance point above neutral (23"), but many people actually prefer a lower balance point and there are not many options out there these days. Advertising your shafts as having a low balance point (assuming that is true) could be useful to draw in those people. It is also handy for people that play shorter lengths as well.

I should know that answer off the top of my head, but too much turkey - - I'll do some testing for you Monday at the factory and get the exact number for ya - - I only have gripped and tipped shafts in my garage currently

Hah thanks, no worries! I was just talking with a member on here the other day that was specifically looking for low balance point shafts similar to his HZRDUS Black and there are really so few other options in that category, so it would be good to know if your stuff is.

I bought a regular flex shaft, with a pxg adapter that I requested set to standard, with a golf pride tour velvet grip.  I paid extra for expedited delivery too.  The package was sent UPS ground, not expedited!  When I opened the package, I immediately noticed the tip was sanded way past the ferrule and it looks horrible.  I installed the shaft in the standard position and the grip was put on crooked, with the golf pride letters ending up in my right hand.  I've been a club fitter/builder for over 30 years so I have the tools to measure shafts.  The shaft was in a stiff flex, not regular like I ordered.  I sent an email to return the shaft and now they want me to pay for the shipping to return it!  Unacceptable customer service!  As of now, I do not recommend this company or it's shaft.  Horrible quality control!  The shaft literally looks like  someone made one for the first time!  Save your money and buy from Golfworks.  They have many shafts that are comparable in the same price range and it won't look like someone just slapped it together!  I'm very disappointed.

Steadfast customer service texted me back and said they issued a total refund of the shaft!  Their response was very quick and I'm satisfied with the results.

Balance point is at 23.5"

We can manipulate this balance point if desired 👌👌👌

Thank you for that! Assuming we're dealing with a 46" uncut shaft then that puts that particular shaft 0.5" above "neutral", which is in fact considered to be on the lower side in terms of balance point compared to many of today's shafts. Good to know, thank you!

Interesting that you mentioned manipulating this, would you do this via one-off construction methods?

Regarding your question - Different cookie different recipe

Right now we are focused on our S4 standard metrics with the rush of orders from the holidays and the TXG video

We can make "almost" any type of golf shaft with any sort of characteristics desired. Just need to test and validate.

In the future, we will be building custom shafts like this for an upcharge.

Very cool, thank you for that info! Looking forward to see how those TXG guys do with the S4.

That is a good question, im sure one of the mods could point you in the right direction. @knudson81 usually runs the testing and giveaway threads.

Guy on the golfbuzz forum just got one of these in. Epoxy all over the adapter and on the shaft. Customer service told him this was normal and all the big OEMs do this?!?!

he took out a pair of calipers and the shaft measures .327 a couple inches above the adapter. I can provide the pictures but posted on the other forum to see if he’s a member here first.

They still have a website. I think there is a cross over line where a supplier posts FYI and when they are using his site as a sales tool with no revenue to golfwrx.

I tried to guide them in the right direction...🤷‍♂️ That being said i think they were full of crap...

So words and pictures as cautions.

There have been bubbles found in the shaft. And their taper is inconsistent and not symmetrical.

they are terrible at tip prep and head are flying off..

I would say to stick with tried and true brands for now.

Yikes, seems like they may have bitten off more than they can chew at this point. I'll never understand poor tip prep, it is a very basic thing.

Wow, that's some shotty work. Unless the owner is very wealthy, they won't last long with their current business model. Cheap shafts that need to be fixed as soon as they are received by the customer. Heads flying off, lots of people asking for refunds, and trying to churn out updated versions of their shaft... That's a lot of money going out the window and no way to make profit or break even with all these issues. Yikes!!!

Well I have read this post and am wondering what company I bought mine from (steadfast), i have had none of the issues everyone on here is saying. Shaft length is correct, grip feels good, and the adapter definitely had not come loose. My shot pattern dispersion is tighter. The only thing that has not changed is my distance. Im a 8 handicapper. Currently ordering a few more to replace my 3 and 5 wood shafts.

That seems to be the main issue is just consistency. Heard good and bad and all in between. Different versions or generations, even getting something custom built..? I mean txg reviewed one and they really didnt say much about the quality of the build. I do find it weak that when pressed for more details its, “proprietary materials, technology, or techniques” and its a secret...i mean they apparently have trouble putting adapters on... doesnt make me gave a ton of confidence in their proprietary-ness
