Cigar aficionados- What is your favorite cigar you have had. Photos would be a bonus...

Recommended Posts

Thought this would be a good discussion since there are a few of you. Favorite cigars on or off the course? I have some more than a few friends in my neighborhood that meet together and smoke cigars together. They are into cigars like I am into golf and equipment. So they share and I try to keep up.

However I have had a few that stand out for VERY special occasions.

1. Fuente Opus X 20th Anniversary Power Of The Dream

2. Fuente Opus X God of Fire Aniversario

3. Padron Family reserve 50 year Maduro

4. Padron 1926 series no 90 box press

5. Fuente Fuente Opus X 2020 Dubai (rare like a viral stamped GSS)

5. Fuente Anejo Reserva No. 50

Here are some pics of the above and a few from ones that could be there...

BEST CIGARS OUT THERE ARE Liga  Privida  52 OR 9

There's a reason you have mostly Fuente's on your list: they're exceptional! I don't smoke on the course because I'd rather pay attention to a nice cigar after the round than during but I smoke a lot

I don't smoke on the course because I'd rather pay attention to a nice cigar after the round than during but I smoke a lot of Perdomo 20th Anniversary's, Fuente's, Ashton (also made by Fuente), LFD and My Father to name a few.

Right now my faves:

Off the course:

Oliva Master Blend3, Oliva V

Ramon Bueso Genesis Project

CAO Brazilia

Rocky Patel Edge

On the course I dont smoke heavy or complex cigars as I like to pay attention to those so:

Gurka Assassin

Oliva Connecticut Reserva Churchill or Oliva G

I just got the Brickhouse Maduro Robusto that is pretty heavy but I enjoy it a lot. Im a big Maduro guy!

In my order of preference and definitely not everyday smokers:

Arturo Fuente: El Presidente and Hemingway.

Cohiba: Black Churchill Maduro and Cameroon Lonsdale Grande

Padron: 1964 Anniversario No. 4 Maduro & Natural Gordo & 1926 #1 Natural Double Corona

Montecristo Casino Connecticut Churchill

Romeo Y Julieta:  Reserve Real Casino Connecticut Churchill.

I've never been privy to the Liga Privida but would certainly entertain the idea.

For an everyday cigar I like the Antonio Y Vargas Rosa Cuba. While definitely not in the league of the above it's definitely a really good cigar.

I buy bulk by getting cigars I really want from Cigar International and then top it with a free shipping deal which is usually another pack of 10. Then on Fridays I go to the cigar shop and pick 3 cigars I really like or wanna try.

I do essentially the same thing. CI has such good deals my local shop can’t compete (on larger quantity purchases).

The make me a offer section on CI is pretty cool as well.

For the guys who enjoy full bodied cigars do yourself a favor and grab a Plascensia Alma Fuerte.

Something more approachable, and my

”if I could only smoke one cigar for the rest of time” the second version of the Rocky Patel ALR, with the rose gold colored band.

I like to try many and my personal favorite is a custom blend our local Cigar shop, Governors has custom made. It is called First Lady. I'll upload a pic later.

I'm a fan of Asylum 13 for a smooth smoke. H. Upmann and Perdomo and even a couple of the Acid smokes as well.

Not a fan of the real "peppery" sticks.

What kind of cigar holders for golf do you guys use? Can you post links of where you bought them? Any "hacks" that work as well?

I bought these to use on my ClicGear 3.5+.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073BGMPG3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1  Works just fine.  Gave a few away to friends.

I see that good bottle of wellers. I wasn’t a big fan of that laranja oscuro, i liked the original laranja much more.
