Due to conflicts with US Open, Golf Channel's broadcast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be taped delayed.

For those who don't mind watching live streaming, these are the schedule:

Friday                            3:30 - 6:30 PDT

Saturday                       11:00 - 2:00 PDT

Sunday                          11:00 - 2:00 PDT

I have only one pair of eyes, and those are going to this event, US open be damned ?

I’m curious to see the course set up. They got a new Super last year And he only had 4 or 5 weeks until the tourney. Now that it’s been his course for awhile I’m curious to see any changes.

And how is Pumpkin Ridge making out?  Still playing as a nice track when it hosted a pair of US Women's Opens?

Holy Google translate... Can't really decipher much lol. It's like Google translating Japanese press but at least I know basic Japanese and kanji so I can figure out what they say about Hinako and Hideki lol... plus I took Japanese as a foreign language elective in University lol... I should drink more soju I/o sake, that might help...

I'm also going with Stacy this week. She won the event in 2017, and has been on a good roll lately.

In Gee finished 2nd to Stacy that year. She's also been playing solid lately.

So a little note, the air took a negative turn overnight and the course was closed today. A few of the ladies came down to my course and got some practice in and I guess a bunch more are coming tomorrow. Not sure if it was the course or counties decision. Last week when the fires sparked our air quality index was over 500. Last night it was around 180 and something changed mid day today and it’s back over 300, almost to 400. Also, it might be course related as with this air quality Being so bad you are not required to Go to work.

Interesting note and not sure if it’s city or county wide as the course is in a different county from where I live and where I work but there are some courses here who are

not allowed to maintain the course currently as someone put a ban on outdoor power equipment. WTH?

I always like the anger angle, Nelly and Brooke were both very complimentary and genuinely happy for Mirim with their comments but you know they both said to themselves "are you freaking kidding me, we lost to 3 chip in's" lol.  So seeing Brooke's not here, I'm going with a Nelly in amazing form and a chip on her shoulder.

Austin Ernest and Stacey Lewis are also great picks with their games in form and lots of success on this course.

I always track the scoring average, cause it's a prime indicator of who's gonna get a win each year.  When a player has a sub 70 scoring average almost always with out exception they have a win that year and some have multiple wins.  There are only currently 4 players with a sub-70 scoring average and only one of those players has a win, so with that said Sei Young Kim and Nasa Hataoka might be great picks this week.  I will concede with the messed up season this might not hold out to be true this year.

Unfortunately it's not a normal year. I think the usual rules are kind of out the window.

I think a big factor this season is fatigue. In "normal" years the players will schedule themselves several breaks throughout the season. With the compressed schedule, we're seeing players tee it up for weeks at a time.

Is Lexi out, too? Didn't see her name on the pairings list.

It looks like it, she not on the tournament entry list either.  Tough to explain how bad this is though unless you've experienced forest fires near were you are.  I remember several years ago when a forest fire was about 20 miles from my house, it was horrible, so I understand people not wanting to deal with it.  Although probably a very easy decision if you don't have to worry financially or from a status point of view.

One less obstacles for the rookies to shine!

Granted, it's still a great field with Nelly, Danielle, Minjee and Lydia; but one player at a time.   It's never easy to win on LPGA no matter what.

That's one negative for the rookies this season, you won't have one of those events with a small purse, 54-hole or bad geographic location that most top players decide to take off, that has the weaker field to allow to rooks or less established players to shine without the big sharks swimming all around them.
