T100-S bent weak (photo included)

I hate offset, plain and simple.  Because of that, even though Titleist made, in my opinion, a huge improvement with the T100s, I still wanted a little less.  I decided to go with the T100-s and bend them 2 degrees weak to reduce offset and keep the same lofts as the standard T100.  I'm not sure how clear it is in the picture, but I just got the irons today and the lack of offset is amazing. They honestly have less offset than most blades I've owned.

I wondered the same thing as soon as I saw the T100s had been launched - on the surface it was for gapping with other T series sets, but that the real benefit for better players would be to get a set of very low offset irons in "modern standard" lofts with a little bit more bounce in the soles also

Did the same with my two sets of P7TW irons...2* weak from retail, which are basically tiger lofts.

7 iron is 37*; PW 49*.

What offset...?

I'm going to take them out tomorrow, so I'll see how the added bounce impacts contact.  Honestly, I'm fairly steep and a bit of a digger, so I think the extra bounce may help me. I knew weakening them would produce less offset, but I'm actually surprised at how differently they look versus the standard T100s.

Playing my T100S irons one degree weak and will agree....the minimal offset is really nice to look at.

I'm leaning towards doing the same.  I've been weakening my Vokey's for years to minimize offset.

I had the MP20 blades before these, and I honestly think the T100-S bent is very similar in size and offset.

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been tempted to do the same with t100s because I seem to do better with Callaway & Ping bounce specs ...... would love to read reviews as you go.

What did you do for the PW - also 2* weak? I want to order something just like this but I hate that the PW has the stupid "44" stamped on it. I wish it just had the "P", but maybe I'm overly OCD...

I’ve done the bend on my Callaway wedges with the same result; minimal offset with more bounce on soft fairways.

 Yep, 2 weak on the PW as well. You're not alone -- every time I pull that club and see the wrong loft stamped, it makes me uncomfortable haha!

I agree. I’m debating buying standard t100 just ti have the right loft on it.

Based on this thread, I decided to go with T100S bent 2* weak over standard T100 or even 620CB.

 

And WOW am I glad I did. Below are photos of the 9, 8, 6, and 4 irons.

 

I hadn't seen the T100 in person before these but did game the 718 AP2 for a bit. Titleist significantly slimmed down this iron while also making it more forgiving than last year, and it really shows. These look every bit of a blade at address yet you know you have a lot of forgiveness underneath!

@cav5 I tried using the 46 Vokey for a short bit but I can't get along with specialty wedges in that PW spot. I have an order in for the T100-S PW bent 2* weak. I'll hate the "44" stamped on it but, oh well, I'll get used to it.

 

Shafts are PX 6.5. These irons are easily the best I've ever had.

What about ordering the 620 CB or MB with the desired loft and use that as your PW?

Understood, then weakening the T100S PW 2º will work unless you're like me (couldn't stand looking at the '44') then I would probably just order the T100 PW

An option for sure, just have to adjust for gapping as a true blade wedge may not have the same horsepower as the set PW

These pictures look great. How is the turf interaction with them? I’m a digger and the Mizunos I have are a bit sharp. I’ve flattened my swing slightly and they work well, but seeing these have me very curious about switching over.

I did the same thing to mmy t100s and am SOOO happy I did it.  I had a set of T100 that I really liked but did not like the offset, bought the t100s for the exact reason of weakening the whole set by 2 degrees.  Have never been happier.  iron shots are so much cleaner and crisper, and the handicap has dropped 4 shots since I did it.  Turf interaction changes was not even noticable.
