T100-S bent weak (photo included)

@Weston11 Did you calculate that correctly?

If you went with T100-S, the PW is 44', so 2 degrees weak means PW is 46'.

I'm slightly confused. I said that I went with the T100S PW, 2 degrees week, so it's 46. So I agree with you -- mine is 46.

I did the same thing to mmy t100s and am SOOO happy I did it.  I had a set of T100 that I really liked but did not like the offset, bought the t100s for the exact reason of weakening the whole set by 2 degrees.  Have never been happier.  iron shots are so much cleaner and crisper, and the handicap has dropped 4 shots since I did it.  Turf interaction changes was not even noticable.

what were the effects on carry distance, spin, ball flight, playability? Wondering if the change in loft effects the overall playability of the club being that the head was engineered specifically for a stronger loft

Any update on this? Curious on the spin and playability as well. Really torn between going t100 or t100s bent weak.

I've posted this information at least a dozen times here previously, but bending weak 2 degrees reduces offset by only .029" or .75mm.  Needless to say, this is not a profound change.  Only extremely sensitive people would even notice.

Perhaps with irons that start with a lot of offset, it may be harder to see. But with irons that start with low to moderate offset, like the OP's, I find it to be very noticable.  I think that is because you end up taking them close to 0* offset, which is pretty different that what most of us are used to looking at.

I hate offset, plain and simple.  Because of that, even though Titleist made, in my opinion, a huge improvement with the T100s, I still wanted a little less.  I decided to go with the T100-s and bend them 2 degrees weak to reduce offset and keep the same lofts as the standard T100.  I'm not sure how clear it is in the picture, but I just got the irons today and the lack of offset is amazing. They honestly have less offset than most blades I've owned.

How’s the turf interaction on hard surfaces feel like they would skip a lot?

I agree.  Taking .75mm of offset off these, is reducing it in the area of 30-50%.  I think most players who have a good eye and are able to spot profile details, will definitely notice this.

Same idea with top-line thickness and toe shape

Aren’t the 100s a little more forgiving than the 100 because of addition tungsten? I did something similar with my Gen3 XP to get a higher moi head, but take the offset out to hit traj and spin windows I wanted.

To put this into perspective, .75mm is 1/2 the thickness of a penny, or 1/32".

You are also taking the 7 iron then from 2.3mm to 1.55.  You don’t think that is noticeable?

Right.  It's amazing what our eyes can pickup on.  I notice that amount or even slightly less, on sets where the longer irons have a bit more offset.  For example, 7i at 2.5mm offset vs a 4i at 3.25mm

For those of you guys that have seen both t100 and t100s, are they the exact same iron from a sole design perspective? Only asking cause I’m thinking of getting the t100 and bending them weaker to blend into the weaker blades I have. Just don’t want to find out that the t100 aren’t meant to be bent weak or something

The T100s model has a lower COG and of course stronger lofts that the T100 model.

You can absolutely bend either model weak, that is not a problem,

If you want to best match the blades, I would suggest looking at the COG height of the blades and compare this to the T100s and T100 models to see which is closest as you may want to match this up.

Pickers of the ball tend to do a lot better with lower COG heads, those that lean the shaft forward considerably or that have are more of a digger with a more negative angle of attack are better off sometimes with a higher COG as it lines up with the strike location on the head better.

It’s about picking the right one for your needs, a really good fitter should be able to advise you on which model to choose to match in with the blade heads you have.

I’ve done this a few times. In my opinion it’s the best way to get a club to look close to a blade with no offset. Looks way better and lofts don’t look so strong and will increase spin a tad. To bad titleist didn’t continue in the new release as t150 is a bigger head and is looks like more on the game improvement side.

No. Just increases bounce by 1 degree.
