I never thought I would spend a bunch on socks but I did after reading another  thread on the subject last year. I bought Bombas socks and

I use Ecco Angora wool long socks to keep the grass off the back of my legs, so they have to be above the ankle. I am always looking for a comfortable sock and glad to read this for ideas.

Swiftwick. Worn them for years.  A few pairs that are 6-7 years old and have yet to show sings of wear. Excellent product.
