Reshaft or extension?

Extend it. I like older 350g heads but I’m 6’5 and putt at 35”. Never had a problem extending 2”. Beautiful putter btw! Have the exact same one and it’s one of the best he made!

Extend it and that is a nice looking original head head.

I like to tinker, so I would pull the original shaft with grip and stash that away in the event that I sell the club and the buyer wants it back to the original setup. No problem extending that and slapping on a new grip though.

Definitely original finish on that one too. Great condition as well!

I agree with kb7..  If you plan to sell or trade later on... Keeping original would be best..

I have a stigma about extensions killing the feel of a putter head.  I did it to one of mine in college and it never felt right until I reshafted it.  Maybe i'm just a mental midget...  I always opt for the reshaft option over the extension option.

Agree. I will extend iron shafts but if it was a putter i would re-shaft it.

If you choose to reshaft try the .355 taper tip KBS putter shaft in matte steel , it would look really nice in that head.  Color would match up almost perfectly unless you're on the colored shaft kick and want their white/green/black options.  I have the KBS in my newport 2.6 and I like it.

Are you agreeing from experience??? I was leaning towards reshaft as well because its putter but most comments are saying extension is no problem

Are you referring to the KBS CT Tour putter shaft?

Also interested by this comment.  I assumed it would be the other way 'round due to putter shafts experiencing minimal load by comparison.  I'd wager that in a blind test, without comparing step profile (if applicable), most players wouldn't discern any noticeable difference in feel between a stock 35" putter vs. a 34" extended 1".

Also, IMO preservation of resale value is not that big of a consideration for an OTR Cameron, as far as keeping the original shaft unmodified goes.

I would extend it and if you didn't like it its easier enough to removes the extension. It would cost you a grip or two unless you are proficient at pulling/saving grips.

Yes. But at the end of the day its just preference. Extend it, if you dont like it, then re-shaft it.

I'm extending to 35.25" from 33". 2.25" is about 2 1/2 fingers in my left hand grip so maybe I'll notice???

Apparently taking off an extension isn't too hard so I think I'll try that and reshaft if I don't like it.

100%.    I play a 36" putter and I have done extensions on some junk putters as long as 3" with absolutely zero change in feel.

That being said, reshafting a putter is super simple so sometimes it is just easier to reshaft and cut to length.

Probably true on most players not noticing. It only took me one session on the putting green with a putter I’ve rolled about 18 years of putts with and I was pulling the shaft.  I noticed it immediately on long putts where you have to really put a hard stoke on it.
