What is your most expensive club?

My putter is my most expensive club.   I would pay up to $1000 to play a putter im happy with since I use it more than twice as much as my next used club, the driver.

Think I've got around $500 in my putter.  Since it's the most used club in the bag it seems ok to spend that much.  and as noted above, I'd be ok with $1k in a putter if I actually had more confidence in it then my current one.

My putter definitely is as well.  Old new scotty's just aren't worth that kind of money though.  Too light for most people's preference.  Could get a boutique company to make a similar design with more weight for the same or better price, plus you get to pick all the specs (mill finishing, shaft, grip, loft, lie, etc).

My driver cost $500, shaft $350; 4wd cost $300+, shaft $350.   If you factor aftermarket shafts in my irons, the 620 3-PW was $1500 plus aftermarket shafts = $2200, and SC putter in 2012 was $350.

That total is less than the carbon brakes on the Porsche.  Don't tell my wife.?

Tom Slighter hand crafted Redmond cost about 800 Canadian a few years ago. Love it and enjoyed the process of helping design the putter to what I wanted.

 

My SIM driver cost around 600 or so Canadian. 

 

I have one hobby. I buy what I want no big deal.

I've owned a few button backs but didn't get a long with them and sold them. I am totally fine with playing a putter that is over a grand... They're tools and are meant to be used IMO.

 

I do prefer spread the wealth though. I would much rather have 3 $330 putters vs 1 $1000 putter. Currently have about 25 putters lying around in the room.

Driver - Tour Issue Epic Flash SZ Triple Diamond w/ Ventus. Spent $800 and it doesn't work (couldn't possibly be user error!).

 

I do plan to get a custom putter at some point that will surpass that, but doubt I'll ever spend even close to that much on a non-putter again.

I can't justify spending that much on in-play club. My threshold is no more than 300/club not considering iron sets. My most expensive club is my scotty putter bought new for 299.99.
